The Response Technician assists with emergency spill response, environmental cleanup, waste handling, equipment setup, and general field support under the direction of experienced technicians and supervisors. Reporting to the Response Operations Manager, this role provides hands-on experience while developing response skills, safety awareness, and knowledge of environmental regulations and company procedures. Responsibilities:  <ul> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Respond to emergency spills and environmental cleanup projects as assigned, including 24/7/365 response coverage, nights, weekends, holidays, and other non-standard hours.</li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Assist with spill containment, cleanup, decontamination, environmental remediation, and hazardous and non-hazardous waste handling.</li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Set up, operate, and break down response equipment, including pumps, hoses, absorbents, containers, and tools.</li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Operate hand, power, and cutting tools as trained and authorized.</li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Load, unload, label, stage, and handle materials, containers, tools, and equipment.</li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Support drum and container management in accordance with company procedures and applicable regulations.</li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Work safely in a variety of environments, including those involving chemicals, hazardous materials, confined spaces, and other challenging field conditions.</li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Interact professionally with emergency services and regulatory agencies, as directed.</li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Complete required field documentation, equipment inspections, and Daily Work Records.</li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas, vehicles, and equipment.</li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Follow all safety policies, site requirements, and supervisor direction, and properly use required PPE.</li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Participate in required training and maintain applicable certifications.</li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Support Waste Management and Field Services departments as needed. </li> </ul> Basic Requirements:  <ul> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Willingness and ability to participate in an on-call schedule and respond to emergencies outside of normal business hours.</li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Ability to travel overnight as needed.</li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Ability to perform physical labor and work outdoors in a variety of conditions.</li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.</li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Ability to follow direction while working independently and as part of a team.</li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Working knowledge of OSHA, DOT, FMCSA, RCRA, CAA, CWA, and other applicable environmental and safety regulations.</li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and safety management systems.</li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.</li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship or future sponsorship.</li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Must have a reliable form of transportation  </li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Must be willing to consent to Motor Vehicle Record screening, criminal background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screen (inclusive of THC)  </li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Upon employment, you will be required to participate in a random drug screening program (inclusive of THC) as part of our company’s commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment  </li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Must be able to lift 60 pounds on a regular basis  </li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Ability to work overtime on a regular basis  </li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Must be willing to work flexible hours within the work week (Monday through Friday)  </li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Must be able to report to Northampton office within 1 hour during Emergency Response situations  </li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">The Response Technician frequently handles hazardous chemicals and biological waste and is responsible for putting on and taking off personal protective equipment.
