If you're ready to drive change and make history, apply now!</div><h4>What you’ll do</h4> Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following: <ul> <li>Own day-to-day and launch-phase Vehicle Logistics Control operations, ensuring finished vehicles move safely, efficiently, and on schedule from manufacturing through outbound staging, loading, and dispatch. </li> <li>Lead, coach, and develop the Vehicle Logistics Control team, including staffing plans, training, performance management, capability building, and adherence to standard work. </li> <li>Establish, document, and continuously improve logistics control processes, operating standards, escalation routines, and performance controls to support production readiness and operational stability. </li> <li>Drive cross-functional alignment with Production Steering, Manufacturing, Quality, Logistics, Accessory Center, carrier partners, and other internal and external stakeholders to resolve constraints and protect vehicle flow. </li> <li>Manage operational performance through KPIs, reporting, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives that improve throughput, cost, quality, and delivery reliability. </li> <li>Own planning and execution for vehicle dispatch to truck and rail in alignment with production plans, outbound requirements, carrier capacity, and business priorities. </li> <li>Build and sustain a safety-first and compliance-driven culture by ensuring team readiness, required training, regulatory adherence, and consistent execution of company policies and operating procedures. </li> <li>Develop, manage, and monitor the Vehicle Logistics Control budget, identifying opportunities to control cost, improve efficiency, and support financial targets. </li> <li>Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and company requirements related to finished vehicle transportation, yard operations, documentation, audits, and internal validation activities. </li> <li>Prepare for and support audits, LPC, BMS, and other operational reviews by maintaining clear documentation, validating process effectiveness, and closing gaps as needed. </li> <li>Identify risks, disruptions, and process failures early; lead escalation, contingency planning, and recovery actions to minimize impact to production, delivery, and business commitments. </li> <li>Communicate operational status, risks, decisions, and performance results clearly to leadership, business partners, and external stakeholders through recurring updates and management reporting. </li> </ul> Location & Travel Expectations: <ul> <li>This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Columbia, South Carolina</li> <li>This role requires 4-5 days per week in the office, with regular in-person meetings and events. </li> <li>Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.</li> <li>May require working non-traditional business hours and outside dealing with the elements of nature. </li> </ul> <h4>What you’ll bring </h4> We expect all Scout employees to have integrity, curiosity, resourcefulness, and strive to exhibit a positive attitude, as well as a growth mindset. Here's what else you'll bring: <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation Management, Business Operations or related field. An equivalent amount of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. </li> <li>Minimum of 8 years of experience in automotive finished vehicle operations or transportation management, with a proven track record of leading teams. </li> <li>Knowledge of vehicle logistics outbound processes, including transportation regulations, best practices and safety protocol.  </li> <li>Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple complex projects.  </li> <li>Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to analyze, correct/ report operational status.  </li> <li>Responsible for preparing and executing contingent plans to meet organizational targets.  </li> <li>Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with a keen attention to detail. </li> <li>Collaborative team-player with strong interpersonal skills able to work with internal and external teams, third party and vendors. </li> <li>Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and transportation management software. </li> <li>Knowledge of automotive regulations and compliance standards is a plus. </li> <li>Ability to communicate complex issues into common language for the organization </li> </ul> <h4>What you'll gain</h4> The benefits of joining Scout include the chance to build products and a company from the ground up.  This is a chance to create something new and lasting – with an iconic brand at its foundation.  In addition, Scout provides competitive compensation and benefits to support your physical, mental, and financial wellbeing. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience.
