These applications&nbsp;will cover use cases from web integrations with auto manufacturers to predictive machine controllers to&nbsp;new battery-based energy products. The ideal candidate is someone experienced with creating, managing,&nbsp;and supporting both AWS infrastructure and Kubernetes (self-hosted and AWS EKS based) using&nbsp;infrastructure-as-code tools. This is an opportunity to join during a critical growth phase and build green&nbsp;field software experiences and capabilities which will have a significant impact on the company’s day-to-day operations and ability to scale.</span></p> <p class="p1" style="line-height: 1; text-align: left;">&nbsp;</p> <p class="p1"><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Responsibilities Will Include:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li class="p2" style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Leverage existing in-house AWS architectures and design new ones where needed, using the CDK tool&nbsp;kit to manage and create AWS resources.</span></li> <li class="p2" style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Operationalize workloads in AWS and Kubernetes, helping to design and implement monitoring solutions&nbsp;and deployment pipelines.</span></li> <li class="p2" style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Enhance existing and implement new build/test/deploy automated pipelines.</span></li> <li class="p2" style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Partner with on-prem counterparts to drive hybrid infrastructure projects.</span></li> <li class="p2" style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Apply industry best practices (automation through infrastructure-as-code, security, etc.)</span></li> <li class="p2" style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Perform root cause analysis of production errors and resolve technical issues.</span></li> <li class="p2" style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Author and maintain detailed design documents and system architecture diagrams.</span></li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p class="p1"><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Qualifications:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li class="p1" style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience.</span></li> <li class="p1" style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience as a DevOps engineer or in a similar software engineering role developing solutions in AWS.</span></li> <li class="p1" style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Similar hands-on experience deploying and managing Kubernetes workloads.</span></li> <li class="p1" style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Solid knowledge and experience with AWS services: IAM, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, VPC, DynamoDB, etc.</span></li> <li class="p1" style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Solid knowledge and experience with Kubernetes and containerization: configuring and managing clusters, helm chart development and deployment, building containers, working with docker, etc.</span></li> <li class="p1" style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Experience automating AWS solutions using infrastructure-as-code tools, such as CDK, Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.</span></li> <li class="p1" style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Fluency in Python strongly desired.</span></li> <li class="p1" style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Experience with Linux, Git.</span></li> <li class="p1" style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">An understanding of security best practices, and the experience, to know when and where to apply them.</span></li> <li class="p1" style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Working knowledge of databases (relational and non-relational) a plus.</span></li> <li class="p1" style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Demonstrated ability to manage production workloads (debugging, monitoring, alerting).</span></li> </ul> <p class="p1">&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Working Conditions: </strong></span></p> <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Infrequent night/weekend work if production systems are down and require immediate attention.
