<p><strong>Purpose of the Role</strong></p>
<p data-start="424" data-end="728">We are seeking a CCTV Installation Engineer to join the Clearway Technology team. This role is responsible for the safe installation, commissioning, servicing, and maintenance of CCTV, access control, and ANPR systems across a range of commercial environments.</p>
<p data-start="730" data-end="1007">Working with the latest technologies, including high-definition IP cameras and infra-red thermal imaging, you will ensure systems are installed to a high standard and remain fully operational, supporting 24/7 remote monitoring by our NSI Gold accredited Alarm Receiving Centre.</p>
<p data-start="1009" data-end="1189">This is an exciting opportunity for a technically skilled engineer who enjoys working in varied environments and contributing to high-quality, safety-critical technology solutions.</p>
<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>
<p>Responsibilities include but are not limited to:</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">System Installation and Commissioning</span><br>• Install and commission CCTV, access control, and ANPR systems across commercial and construction sites.<br>• Ensure all work is completed to Clearway’s safety, technical, and quality standards.<br>• Set up equipment to agreed configurations and confirm functionality on handover.</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Servicing and Maintenance</span><br>• Carry out routine maintenance and servicing of installed systems, identifying and resolving faults.<br>• Respond to emergency callouts or breakdowns, ensuring minimal disruption to client operations.<br>• Conduct regular performance checks and adjust equipment as needed to maintain system integrity.</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Health & Safety</span><br>• Work in line with our safe working practices, Method Statements, and Risk Assessments.<br>• Ensure compliance with site-specific safety rules and use of appropriate PPE.<br>• Report any incidents, near misses, or safety concerns promptly to the Operations Manager.</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Project Support and Collaboration</span><br>• Support the delivery of major and bespoke installation projects.<br>• Work independently or alongside other engineers and subcontractors as required.<br>• Maintain a collaborative, professional approach across all team interactions.</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Documentation and Reporting</span><br>• Maintain accurate records, including service reports, test sheets, installation documentation, and inventory logs.<br>• Submit daily job sheets and updates through the company’s reporting system.<br>• Provide timely updates on work status and highlight any recurring faults or equipment issues.</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Customer and Stakeholder Communication</span><br>• Represent Clearway in a professional manner on-site and during client interactions.<br>• Provide clear and courteous communication when explaining system functionality or repair outcomes.<br>• Support a positive customer experience by resolving queries or escalating issues where appropriate.</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Travel and Flexibility</span><br>• Travel across the UK to client sites as required.<br>• Be flexible with working hours, including occasional overnight stays or out-of-hours work, depending on business needs.</p>
<p>Assist the wider Clearway Technology Highways Team where required to cover holidays and illness.</p>
<p><strong>Key Skills, Qualifications and Experience</strong></p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Essential</span><br>• Good level of technical knowledge and experience with CCTV systems, including IP-based solutions.<br>• Commissioning experience on all projects with a background in CCTV, Access Control, and Integrated Camera Systems and solar controller units.<br>• Basic understanding of electrical and electronic principles and diagnostic testing (e.g. multimeter use, continuity testing, fuse testing).<br>• Ability to fault-find and repair CCTV and related equipment.<br>• Working knowledge of system networking, firewalls, power issues, and connectivity troubleshooting.<br>• Physically fit – able to carry heavy loads as required. <br>• Full UK driving licence.<br>• Ability to pass a DBS check (funded by the company).<br>• ECS, CSCS or SSSTS card</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Desirable</span><br>• Experience with access control, door entry, and intruder alarm systems.<br>• Experience working on construction sites, highways, or similar environments with strong awareness of site rules and safety protocols.<br>• IT literacy with an understanding of remote monitoring and networked systems.</p>
