We are seeking a skilled Technical Consultant to join our Services team in Japan and play a key role in helping customers implement and maximize the value of our solutions.</p> <p>If you are passionate about technology and motivated to help organizations build secure, high-quality software, we would welcome the opportunity to speak with you.</p> <hr> <h3><strong>About the Role</strong></h3> <p>In this position, you will work closely with customers to successfully implement Black Duck solutions and support their adoption. You will act as both a technical expert and trusted advisor, guiding customers to achieve their security, quality, and compliance goals.</p> <hr> <h3><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h3> <ul> <li> <p><strong>Solution Design:</strong><br>Engage with customers to understand business requirements and design solutions addressing application security, quality, and compliance needs</p> </li> <li> <p><strong>Implementation Delivery:</strong><br>Lead end-to-end project delivery, from planning through execution and completion</p> </li> <li> <p><strong>Integration Development:</strong><br>Support integration of Black Duck solutions into customer SDLC and DevOps environments</p> </li> <li> <p><strong>Customer Advisory:</strong><br>Serve as a trusted technical advisor, providing best practices in software security and testing</p> </li> <li> <p><strong>Stakeholder Collaboration:</strong><br>Partner with internal account teams to ensure visibility into project progress and customer success</p> </li> <li> <p><strong>Account Growth Support:</strong><br>Identify opportunities to expand solution adoption within existing customer environments</p> </li> <li> <p><strong>Secure Development Enablement:</strong><br>Advise customers on improving secure development processes and operational efficiency</p> </li> </ul> <hr> <h3><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Knowledge of <strong>application security concepts and vulnerabilities</strong></li> <li>Experience in <strong>software development</strong> (e.g., Java, C/C++, C#, or similar)</li> <li>Scripting skills in <strong>Python, Bash, PowerShell, or Perl</strong></li> <li>Experience working with <strong>CI/CD and DevOps tools</strong></li> <li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills</li> <li>Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders</li> <li>Experience working in collaborative, customer-facing environments</li> </ul> <hr> <h3><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Experience delivering <strong>technical consulting or professional services</strong></li> <li>Relevant security certifications (e.g., <strong>CISSP, CEH, CSSLP</strong>)</li> <li>Experience with <strong>SaaS and on-premise deployments</strong></li> <li>Knowledge of <strong>security testing and network protocols</strong></li> <li>Proven success in customer engagement and relationship building</li> </ul> <hr> <h3><strong>Education</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field<br><em>(Master’s degree or equivalent experience is a plus)</em></li> </ul> <hr> <h3><strong>Additional Information</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Ability to travel (up to approximately 40%, as required)</li> <li>Experience working with global or distributed teams is highly valued</li> </ul> <hr> <h3><strong>Why Join Black Duck</strong></h3> <p>You will have the opportunity to work with leading global organizations, contribute to cutting-edge application security initiatives, and be part of a collaborative, high-performing team focused on delivering customer success.</p> </div><div class="content-conclusion"><p><em>Black Duck is an equal opportunity employer.
