Senior Accountant at Vertical Bridge

The company provides build-to-suit and colocation solutions to the telecommunications industry. </span><span class="fontstyle0">In 2020, Vertical Bridge became the first tower company in the world to achieve the CarbonNeutral® company certified status and has been recertified every year since.</span><br></p></div><p><strong>Summary:</strong>&nbsp; <br>The Senior Accountant will be responsible for daily general accounting responsibilities including, but not&nbsp; limited to, journal entries, financial reporting, account reconciliations and audit support. This position will require an individual who is well organized and can identify and implement efficiencies through process improvements.</p> <p><strong>Job Functions:&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Plan and execute to meet monthly deadlines for month-end closing of financial statements</li> <li>Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations for multiple accounts and multiple entities</li> <li>Assist in preparation of monthly financial statements and other packages for investors, lenders, and&nbsp;<br>management</li> <li>Prepare and provide analysis to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial statements</li> <li>Identify and implement best practices related to internal controls</li> <li>Assist in the preparation of annual audited financial statements</li> <li>Work closely with the accounting team and other departments throughout the organization</li> <li>Analyze, identify, and propose solutions to increase the effectiveness of processes and procedures</li> <li>Collaborate on ad-hoc or recurring project teams to prepare various analysis for enhancement of the business</li> </ul> <p><strong>Supervisory Requirements:</strong><br>None</p> <p><strong>Working Conditions and Physical Demands:&nbsp;</strong><br>This role is onsite in our brand new Downtown Delray Beach office. We foster a&nbsp;<em>fast, flexible, and friendly</em>&nbsp;culture where team members recognize the importance of in-person collaboration while providing the ability to have a flexible schedule and work remotely when needed.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Education and Experience:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in accounting required CPA candidate preferred</li> <li>Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience required, preferably in a related industry such as real estate, leasing, or telecommunications</li> <li>Experience with ASC 842 Leases is a plus</li> <li>Working knowledge of accounting practices, procedures and regulations governing accounting practices</li> <li>Prior experience of year-end financial statement audit process</li> <li>Experience working with NetSuite or similar accounting system preferred</li> <li>Highly competent user of Excel and proficient with other MS Office suite products</li> <li>Effective in an entrepreneurial culture, working independently and as part of a team</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><p><em>Vertical Bridge is committed to a policy of equal employment and will not discriminate against an applicant or employee.
