Specifically:A&nbsp;<strong>Teacher of Record</strong>&nbsp;for special education must hold a&nbsp;<strong>New Jersey Certificate of Eligibility (CE) or Certificate of Eligibility with Advanced Standing (CEAS)</strong> in Special Education, or a standard instructional certificate in special education.&nbsp;<strong>In-class support</strong>&nbsp;is considered a special education service under the IEP, meaning the person delivering it must be appropriately certified to do so.</li> </ul> <p>(A non-certified individual <strong>cannot</strong> fulfill the role of the special education teacher providing IEP-mandated services)</p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;"></span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
