You like to learn and try new things.</li> <li>You cringe when you hear: “Because that’s the way we’ve always done it.”</li> <li>You like to know your efforts are noticed and appreciated.</li> <li>You believe that individual commitment to a group effort is key to success.</li> <li>You want your work to make a tangible difference in people’s lives.</li> </ul> <p><strong>What It Takes</strong></p> <ul> <li>BS and/or MS Degree in Geology or Engineering Geology.</li> <li>2 years of experience as a Geologist, including soil sampling in accordance with USCS standards and some testing experience.</li> <li>Have taken or preparing to take Professional Geologist exam.</li> <li>Experience in geologic interpretation using soil and rock samples retrieved from explorations, soil classifications.</li> <li>Experience with application to geotechnical engineering practice is a plus (rock mechanics experience a plus)</li> <li>The ability to work independently with the appropriate level of minimal supervision.&nbsp;</li> <li>The willingness and ability to travel to support project needs.</li> <li>A valid driver license and insurable driving record.&nbsp;</li> <li>Basic computer skills: MS Word, Excel (required); RSLog (geotechnical borehole logging, or similar), MS Access (desirable).&nbsp;</li> <li>Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying 50+ pounds.&nbsp;</li> <li>Working in all weather conditions, on uneven terrain.&nbsp;</li> <li>The ability to travel (drive or fly) to field sites per project needs and job sites locally and across the United States.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p><div class="content-conclusion"><p>AA/EOE/M/W/Vet/Disability</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><a href="https://www.michels.us/website-user-privacy-policy/">https://www.michels.us/website-user-privacy-policy/</a></p></div>
