Accounting Manager at Ambient

We offer product expertise, technical and application support, system design and operational support thereby meeting our clients’ specific needs and requirements.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Position Summary: </strong>We are looking for a skilled and&nbsp;detail-driven&nbsp;Accounting Manager&nbsp;to oversee our accounting operations and ensure the integrity of financial reporting and compliance. This role&nbsp;is responsible for&nbsp;managing daily accounting functions, leading the month-end close process, supervising accounting staff, and supporting audits and tax filings. The ideal candidate combines strong technical&nbsp;expertise&nbsp;with leadership capabilities and a proactive, process-improvement mindset.&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li data-section-id="1xxvsxs" data-start="0" data-end="71">Schedule: Fully onsite in our Orange office, Monday through Friday.</li> <li data-section-id="oyczkp" data-start="72" data-end="190">This position will oversee three direct reports: the AP Manager, AR Manager, and Accounting Operations Supervisor.</li> <li data-section-id="1hk8684" data-start="191" data-end="247" data-is-last-node="">The role reports directly to the Assistant Controller.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities:&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.</li> <li>Manage and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.&nbsp;</li> <li>Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with GAAP.&nbsp;</li> <li>Lead the preparation of schedules and documentation for external audits and tax filings.&nbsp;</li> <li>Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all accounting entries and reconciliations.&nbsp;</li> <li>Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting policies.&nbsp;</li> <li>Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing training and performance management.&nbsp;</li> <li>Collaborate with other departments to ensure&nbsp;accurate&nbsp;reporting and process integration.&nbsp;</li> <li>Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities.&nbsp;</li> <li>Assist with ERP implementations, upgrades, or enhancements.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications:&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required).&nbsp;</li> <li>CPA designation (strongly preferred).&nbsp;</li> <li>6+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.&nbsp;</li> <li>Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.&nbsp;</li> <li>Proficiency&nbsp;with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.&nbsp;</li> <li>Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.&nbsp;</li> <li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.&nbsp;</li> <li>High attention to detail and&nbsp;a commitment&nbsp;to accuracy and integrity.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred Experience:&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience in a multi-entity or multi-currency environment.&nbsp;</li> <li>Background in&nbsp;construction or manufacturing preferred&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Experience with process automation or ERP implementation is a plus.&nbsp;</li> <li>Knowledge of SOX compliance or internal audit best practices (if applicable).&nbsp;</li> <li>of the organization</li> <li>CPA designation preferred but not required</li> </ul> <p><strong>Why Join Us</strong></p> <ul> <li>Opportunity to grow within a collaborative and supportive environment</li> <li>Competitive compensation and benefits package</li> <li>Exposure to cross-functional business operations and leadership</li> <li>Team-oriented culture focused on continuous improvement and development</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>$137,862-$168,498 annually DOE</p> <p>We offer excellent health benefits, a 401(k) Plan, Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays and flexible scheduling.</p> <p><span data-teams="true"><em>Ambient is a collective of HVAC design and implementation experts,
