The school is a true community success story that has transformed the lives of thousands of students and their families, while breathing life back into a city that was once one of Philadelphia’s most vibrant manufacturing suburbs.&nbsp;</p></div><p></p> <p><strong>Job Summary: &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<br><br></strong>Instructs students on a long term basis in their learning in the absence of the regular teacher.</p> <p><strong>Essential Functions:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Provides classroom instruction to students as outlined in lesson plans</li> <li>Creates a classroom that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity<br>and interests of students</li> <li>Maintains a safe and orderly environment</li> <li>Maintains established routine of the school and classroom procedures in which<br>assigned</li> <li>Maintains a professional appearance as an example to students</li> <li>Remains at school the entire school day, unless otherwise instructed to leave by<br>building principal</li> <li>Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment,<br>materials, and facilities</li> <li>Maintains reasonable rules of conduct which encourage self-discipline and<br>responsibility</li> <li>Communicates effectively with parents when needed</li> <li>Meets and instructs assigned classes in the locations and times designated</li> <li>Performs other related duties as assigned</li> </ul> <p><br><strong>Minimum Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Valid Pennsylvania educator certificate or out of state certificate</li> <li>Bachelor’s Degree if not certified</li> <li>Pennsylvania Criminal Record Check Clearance</li> <li>Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance</li> <li>FBI Criminal Background Clearance</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Demonstrated Knowledge of:</strong></p> <ul> <li>MS Office Suite</li> <li>The fundamentals of working with various students, parents, other teachers and leadership</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Demonstrated Ability to:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Take and follow directions as indicated by the classroom teacher and/or Principal</li> <li>Effectively manage time and effectively manage students in the classroom</li> <li>Work well with students of all ages</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Note:</strong>&nbsp; CCCS has the exclusive right to alter this job description at any time.&nbsp; This job description is not an employment agreement or contract.</p> <p></p>
