<p><strong>The Job</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Build world-class SLS materials for 3D printing from initial lab explorations to validation and commercialization</li>
<li class="p1">Lead research that pushes the boundaries of SLS material performance, turning discoveries into next-gen solutions.</li>
<li class="p1">Partner with product, hardware, and software teams to iterate and improve material performance based on customer feedback</li>
<li>Develop methodologies to evaluate material formulations in coordination with SLS print systems —balancing material chemistry, thermal dynamics, and printing parameters</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>You</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Experience bringing a new material to market from ideation to production</li>
<li>Have a solid understanding of the fundamentals of materials science and polymer product development</li>
<li>Hands-on experience in thermo-plastic engineering</li>
<li>Passionate about testing and troubleshooting, not afraid to test hundreds of times</li>
<li>Love to harness data; can design and conduct rigorous experiments to optimize materials</li>
<li>Can work autonomously and take initiative to learn new skills to complete an objective</li>
<li>Understand the value of good documentation</li>
<li>B.S., M.S., or PhD in a relevant science or engineering field (all are welcome)</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Bonus skills:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Experience developing materials for 3D printing, especially for SLA/DLP or SLS printers!</li>
<li>3D CAD modeling</li>
<li>Programming skills (Python, Matlab, SQL, etc)</li>
</ul>

<p><span style="font-size: 16px;">We are all owners of Formlabs and direct beneficiaries of our success. We believe that equity is a critical component of compensation at Formlabs, and we want our newest team members to understand the potential value of their equity compensation. Full time employees receive equity, in the form of RSUs. Your financial investment will grow with us in accordance to your impact.</span></p>
<p><br><span style="font-size: 16px;">At Formlabs, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. Your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location and expected impact on the organization.</span></p></div><div class="title">The annual base pay range for this role is:</div><div class="pay-range"><span>$115,000</span><span class="divider">—</span><span>$142,000 USD</span></div></div></div>
