<p>Start your journey with OBE and help us build the future.</p></div><p>The <strong>Autocad Designer</strong> focuses on using architectural drawings and specifications to produce submission drawings timely, with accuracy and completeness, and within budget. The Engineer uses software to generate drawings for custom window projects. The position reports to the <strong>Engineering Manager.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Job Responsibilities Include: </strong></p>
<p>• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and project specifications.<br>• Use software; AutoCAD (2D,3D) or Autodesk Inventor to generate complete and accurate information for a given project.<br>• Research and analyze the sales, estimating, and production requirements of a given order or window series.<br>• Research and analyze the engineering product standards and requirements of a project.<br>• Produce a complete submission package at an elevated level of accuracy in a timely manner.<br>• Champion safety culture, quality, and process improvement.<br>• Other duties as assigned. </p>
<p><strong>What We Are Looking For:</strong></p>
<p>• High school diploma or GED is required.<br>• Associate degree in an Engineering related program or equivalent industry experience is preferred.<br>• Aluminum window experience is preferred, but other related fields are welcome.<br>• Proven proficiency in utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.).<br>• Basic knowledge of computers and preferred programs. (Autodesk Inventor, Epicor, Bluebeam).<br>• Must be able to self-check their own output of work to ensure accuracy.<br>• Aptitude to troubleshoot problems and arrive at logical solutions.<br>• Ability to manage own direction and workload with minimal supervision.<strong><br></strong></p><div class="content-conclusion"><p><strong>What OBE Offers You</strong></p>
