About the Role

<p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong><u>Head of Key Accounts, Education – Japan&nbsp;</u></strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><em>We are looking for an&nbsp;experienced&nbsp;strategic&nbsp;account&nbsp;lead&nbsp;to&nbsp;join the&nbsp;Education&nbsp;Business segment as&nbsp;Head of Key&nbsp;Accounts&nbsp;with a&nbsp;<strong><u>focus on&nbsp;Japan</u></strong>.&nbsp;&nbsp;This role reports directly to the&nbsp;APAC&nbsp;Head&nbsp;Of&nbsp;Education&nbsp;and has responsibility&nbsp;to drive sales and activity in the acquisition and maintenance of&nbsp;accounts.&nbsp;&nbsp;</em> This role is based in our Tokyo office, with the opportunity to also work from home.&nbsp; We are also open to the role being located at one of our Australian offices.</p> <p><strong><u>Native or&nbsp;business‑level&nbsp;proficiency&nbsp;in Japanese (written&nbsp;and&nbsp;verbal&nbsp;communication), is&nbsp;required to be considered for this role&nbsp;</u></strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>The role will&nbsp;be responsible for&nbsp;account management&nbsp;strategy, pipeline development, closing upsell or&nbsp;cross sell&nbsp;opportunities while managing retention.&nbsp;The role will&nbsp;build a&nbsp;deep&nbsp;knowledge and understanding of&nbsp;the <strong><u>higher education</u></strong> sector and apply best practices to support accounts&nbsp;through planning, product&nbsp;knowledge&nbsp;and market insights. Through&nbsp;regular&nbsp;client assessment,&nbsp;they&nbsp;will&nbsp;use&nbsp;access to data and problem-solving techniques to&nbsp;identify&nbsp;service and product&nbsp;improvements and opportunities.<br><br><strong>Responsibilities:</strong>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Serve as a trusted advisor to customers by deeply understanding their business needs and providing guidance on how to best utilize&nbsp;Convera&nbsp;tools to support their mission.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Act as main point of contact for all FX Transactions and Value-Add Payment activities&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Develop relationships with Decision Makers and Influencers at each organization and build an understanding of each client’s FX and payment needs as it pertains to the current&nbsp;offering&nbsp;we provide.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Identifying&nbsp;new market and strategic expansion&nbsp;opportunities&nbsp;to exceed portfolio revenue targets.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Develop a strategic plan for your assigned portfolio to ensure Customer Service is&nbsp;maintained&nbsp;on day-to-day basis while working to achieve annual portfolio Growth Targets.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Enhance brand awareness with excellent communication&nbsp;and&nbsp;presentations&nbsp;across all media.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Act as&nbsp;an&nbsp;escalation point for&nbsp;existing&nbsp;customer issues&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Understand the values of our&nbsp;partnership&nbsp;relationships and create&nbsp;account management&nbsp;strategies to&nbsp;facilitate&nbsp;deals leveraging them where&nbsp;possible.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Be responsible&nbsp;for&nbsp;New Business Opportunities.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Seek new ways to drive&nbsp;account management&nbsp;efficiencies internally and externally through process and systems that allow us to scale quickly.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Acts as a role model and provide mentorship to&nbsp;the&nbsp;team in&nbsp;identifying,&nbsp;sourcing,&nbsp;and developing new business opportunities&nbsp;through existing customer channels.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Collaborate&nbsp;with key cross functional teams in Product &amp; Technology,&nbsp;Marketing,&nbsp;Network,&nbsp;Finance,&nbsp;Operations, Compliance &amp; Risk as we transform our approach to serving Education customers in this strategically vital&nbsp;segment.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Follow&nbsp;a&nbsp;cadence&nbsp;of Salesforce and other sales operational tools for clear visibility to pipeline and opportunity&nbsp;management.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Experience required:</strong>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>5-10&nbsp;years +&nbsp;in&nbsp;Sales,&nbsp;Account Management, or Education Industry&nbsp;roles&nbsp;with proven&nbsp;track record&nbsp;of achieving&nbsp;targets&nbsp;</li> <li>Native or&nbsp;business‑level&nbsp;proficiency&nbsp;in Japanese, including written&nbsp;and&nbsp;verbal&nbsp;communication, is&nbsp;<span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>required&nbsp;</strong></span></li> <li>Education, FinTech, or Treasury background&nbsp;preferred.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>You will come with knowledge and experience of achieving targets, identifying new sales opportunities/cross and upselling within existing accounts.</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Experience in&nbsp;analyzing data and sales statistics to translate results into better sales.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Strong interpersonal skills to lead&nbsp;and&nbsp;build positive relationships and influence at&nbsp;Senior executive&nbsp;level&nbsp;both internally and across the customer base.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Excellent communication and presentation skills across all media, as well as experience in leading sales and GTM technology (Salesforce.com experience an asset)&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Strong negotiation,&nbsp;communication,&nbsp;and&nbsp;presentation skills across all media.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>Convera is a global leader in commercial payments that powers international business by moving money with ease.
