This position is based in New York City and reports to the Director of IT Operations. It is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced enterprise IT environment. The IT Support Specialist (Part-Time)  will support day-to-day IT operations tasks, with a focus on device setup, account provisioning, and hardware inventory management. This role is ideal for someone eager to learn the fundamentals of IT operations and endpoint management in a real-world corporate setting. This is a permanent part-time position working up to 16 hours per week. <h3>What You'll Do</h3> Key Responsibilities Device Setup & Configuration <ul> <li>Assist with unboxing, imaging, and initial configuration of new employee devices (macOS and Windows).</li> <li>Apply standard software baselines and configuration settings under guidance of IT Operations team at large.</li> <li>Prepare devices for new hire onboarding, ensuring they are ready for Day 1 use.</li> <li>Help document device setup steps and update existing SOPs as processes evolve.</li> </ul>   Account Setup & Access Provisioning <ul> <li>Support the creation and configuration of new employee accounts across core platforms (e.g., Microsoft 365, Entra ID).</li> <li>Assist with group assignments, license provisioning, and basic access control tasks under IT team supervision.</li> <li>Help configure accounts in tools such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and Exchange Online.</li> <li>Assist with account deprovisioning during employee offboarding as directed.</li> </ul>   Hardware Inventory Management <ul> <li>Maintain accurate records of hardware assets, including laptops, accessories, and peripherals.</li> <li>Assist with receiving, tagging, and logging new equipment into the asset tracking system.</li> <li>Help conduct periodic audits of hardware inventory to ensure records are up to date.</li> <li>Support the retrieval and logging of equipment during employee offboarding.</li> </ul>   General IT Support <ul> <li>Provide basic Tier 1 support for common endpoint issues, escalating to the Desktop Administrator as needed.</li> <li>Assist with IT-related tasks for onboarding and offboarding workflows.</li> <li>Shadow senior IT team members to learn MDM platform operations (JumpCloud, NinjaOne) and endpoint lifecycle management.</li> </ul> <h3>Must Haves</h3> <ul> <li>Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.</li> <li>Basic familiarity with Windows and/or macOS operating systems.</li> <li>A detail-oriented, organized approach to tasks—especially when handling hardware and account records.</li> <li>Eagerness to learn IT operations fundamentals in a hands-on corporate environment.</li> <li>Good communication skills and a collaborative, team-player attitude.</li> <li>Ability to follow documented procedures and ask questions when unsure.</li> </ul>   Nice to Have <ul> <li>Exposure to Microsoft 365 tools (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint) from a user or admin perspective.</li> <li>Any coursework or personal experience with IT support, networking, or systems administration.</li> <li>Familiarity with help desk or ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow, or similar).</li> </ul>   What You’ll Gain <ul> <li>Practical, hands-on experience in enterprise IT Operations at a global company.</li> <li>Exposure to industry-standard tools including MDM platforms, RMM tools, and Microsoft 365 administration.</li> <li>Mentorship from experienced IT professionals across a global team.</li> <li>A strong foundation in endpoint lifecycle management, device provisioning, and IT operations best practices.</li> <li>The opportunity to contribute to real projects that directly impact employee experience.</li> </ul><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="title">Salary Range</div><div class="pay-range">$20—$20 USD</div></div></div><div class="content-conclusion"><h3>Why Sol de Janeiro?</h3> <ul> <li>Competitive salary and bonus program for full-time team members</li> <li>Flexible hybrid work environment with opportunities for collaboration and growth</li> <li>Inclusive culture that values diverse perspectives and celebrates individuality</li> <li>The chance to be part of a fast-growing, award-winning global beauty brand</li> </ul>  The information contained herein is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee, as these may change or new ones may be assigned at any time.  Sol de Janeiro is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
