The Distribution Coordinator will be responsible for preparing all BOL’s and Packing Slips, communicating with drivers, and overseeing the loading of outgoing shipments. This includes 3rd-party products for distribution to partner locations as well as grocery orders to our distribution centers. This role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to work quickly and deliberately, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy, efficiency, and quality.</p> <p><strong>What we offer you:</strong>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance</li> <li>401(k)&nbsp;</li> <li>Annual Misfits grocery box credit of $1200 paid in weekly installments</li> <li>Life insurance</li> <li>Paid vacation time</li> <li>Paid holidays&nbsp;</li> <li>Paid sick days</li> <li>Hourly Rate - $21.00/hr.&nbsp;</li> <li>Schedule will vary, may include weekends and overnight shifts</li> </ul> <p><strong>What you’ll be doing:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Create routes based on DOT weight regulations, and&nbsp; space utilization,&nbsp; ensuring proper placement to prevent damage during transit.</li> <li>Responsible for the execution of the loadout plan and/or directing loadout associate(s), as applicable</li> <li>Load grocery products onto delivery trucks according to loading schedules and delivery routes, maximizing space utilization and ensuring proper placement to prevent damage during transit.</li> <li>Secure load as well as unload return items from trailer</li> <li>Clean and organize materials for production such as pallets, corners and RPC’s</li> <li>Organize and process recyclable materials gel packs, silver liners, and egg carton wraps</li> <li>Effectively communicate with all co-workers while still embodying our Core values.</li> <li>Forklift Certified, stand up, cherry picker and raider jack</li> <li>Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations to include wheel chocks and trailer stand</li> <li>Conduct visual inspections of products and packaging to ensure compliance with company standards for freshness, quality, and presentation, and report any discrepancies or issues to management.</li> <li>Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines for loading and handling of products, including proper lifting techniques, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and compliance with OSHA regulations.</li> <li>Maintain accurate records of outgoing shipments, including item quantities, delivery dates, and any special handling instructions, and communicate information to warehouse supervisors as needed.</li> <li>Create and revise shipment documents to update all team members and shipping partners.</li> <li>Insure all loads are DOT compliant</li> </ul> <p><strong>What you have:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Authorized to work in the United States.</li> <li>Proficient in fundamental computer applications (including email, Slack, and spreadsheets).&nbsp;</li> <li>Experience or comfort with working in a refrigerated environment (36 degrees)</li> <li>Strong verbal communications skills</li> <li>Strong interpersonal skills</li> <li>Strong organizational and time-management skills</li> <li>Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately follow instructions.</li> <li>Willingness to work overtime and/or possible weekends if the business needs</li> <li> <p>Ability to work efficiently and independently in a fast-paced environment.</p> </li> <li>Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repetitively with or without reasonable accommodation</li> <li>Ability to stand, squat, kneel, and bend repetitively with or without reasonable accommodation</li> <li>Passionate about our mission to eliminate food waste</li> </ul> <p><strong>Nice for you to have:</strong></p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li> <li>Produce-handling experience, a plus</li> <li>Food safety certification is a plus</li> <li>Basic produce knowledge</li> <li>Experienced in Google Suite Applications</li> <li>Ability to stay focused and work efficiently both alone and as part of a team</li> <li>Previous experience in warehouse operations or a similar role preferred.</li> </ul> <p>Please see here for Misfits Market's <a href="https://www.misfitsmarket.com/careers-privacy">Job Applicant Privacy Notice</a>.</p>
