Assistant – FibroScan, you will provide hands-on clinical and patient support while performing FibroScan examinations in accordance with established protocols, manufacturer instructions, and the direction and supervision of the appropriate licensed clinical professionals.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 10pt;">You will be an important part of the clinical team, helping patients feel comfortable throughout their visit while ensuring FibroScan assessments and related clinical information are collected accurately, consistently, and in accordance with applicable standards and site procedures.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 10pt;">This role is well suited for a Medical Assistant who enjoys direct patient interaction, has strong attention to detail, and is interested in developing specialized experience with non-invasive liver assessment technology.</span></p> <h2><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Where You’ll Drive Impact</strong></span></h2> <ul> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Welcome, room, and prepare patients for scheduled clinical and FibroScan visits.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Obtain and accurately document patient information, including height, weight, vital signs, and other measurements as directed by established protocols.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Explain the FibroScan procedure to patients within the scope of the role and answer routine questions regarding the process.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Position and prepare patients appropriately for FibroScan examinations.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Perform FibroScan examinations in accordance with established site protocols, manufacturer instructions, and applicable training requirements.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Obtain technically adequate measurements and repeat examinations when appropriate and permitted under established protocols.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Recognize technical or procedural issues that may affect the quality of a measurement and escalate concerns to the appropriate clinical team member.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Document examination results and related information accurately in the applicable medical record or clinical research system.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Support physicians, nurses, clinical research coordinators, and other members of the care team as directed.</span></li> </ul> <ul> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Support patient flow and efficient clinic operations.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Assist with routine Medical Assistant responsibilities within the scope of training, applicable law, company policy, and delegated duties.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Assist with clinical research visits and study-related procedures as trained and authorized.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Follow study protocols, site procedures, applicable Good Clinical Practice requirements, and company policies when supporting research activities.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Maintain accurate, timely, and complete clinical documentation.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Protect patient privacy and maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and applicable privacy requirements.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Maintain a clean, organized, and appropriately stocked clinical environment.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Perform routine equipment checks and notify the appropriate team member of equipment malfunction or maintenance needs.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Follow infection prevention, safety, exposure-control, and emergency procedures.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Participate in required training and maintain competency for all assigned clinical procedures.</span></li> </ul> <ul> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Performs additional duties upon request</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>What You Bring to the Team</strong></span></p> <ul> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">High school diploma or equivalent required.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Previous experience working as a Medical Assistant in a physician practice, clinic, research site, hepatology/GI practice, or other healthcare setting preferred.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or equivalent credential preferred.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Prior FibroScan experience preferred; willingness and ability to complete required FibroScan training and competency assessment required.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Strong patient-service orientation and ability to establish rapport with patients.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accurate clinical documentation.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Ability to follow standardized clinical procedures and protocols consistently.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Ability to recognize when a patient concern or clinical finding requires escalation to a licensed healthcare professional.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Comfortable using electronic medical records and other clinical technology.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and applicable privacy requirements.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">BLS certification preferred or required within a specified period of employment, based on site
