Please take a moment to browse through our website and learn more about what it means to serve with MKS2.</p> <hr> <p>&nbsp;</p></div><p></p> <p><strong>Senior Instructor – Naval Postgraduate School (NPS)</strong></p> <p><strong>IDIQ Research &amp; Education Support (RES) MAC</strong><br><strong>Location:</strong> Monterey, CA (In‑Residence Required; Hybrid/Remote May Be Possible)<br><strong>Clearance:</strong> U.S. Citizenship Required; Ability to Obtain and Maintain DoD CAC<br><strong>Salary: $148,000 -$176,000</strong></p> <p><strong>Position Overview</strong></p> <p>We are looking to hire qualified <strong>Senior Instructors</strong> to support the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) under the IDIQ Research &amp; Education Support (RES) MAC. These roles provide full lifecycle academic course development and instructional delivery for both undergraduate‑ and graduate‑level programs that enhance the operational effectiveness of U.S. Navy and Department of Defense personnel.</p> <p>This position is based in <strong>Monterey, CA</strong>, with in‑residence teaching required. Hybrid or remote delivery may be possible.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Review and update Government Furnished Information (GFI), including syllabi, lecture materials, and assessments</li> <li>Develop comprehensive course materials: syllabus, lecture slides, reading lists, labs, homework, quizzes, and final exams</li> <li>Deliver in‑residence and/or hybrid instruction at NPS</li> <li>Record instructional sessions using government‑approved distance learning platforms when required</li> <li>Conduct laboratory sessions (if applicable)</li> <li>Monitor student performance and provide mid‑quarter progress assessments to the Technical Point of Contact (TPOC)</li> <li>Grade assignments, exams, and projects in a timely manner</li> <li>Maintain weekly office hours (3–4 hours)</li> <li>Provide final grade recommendations and upload approved grades into the NPS academic tracking system</li> <li>Maintain a complete course journal documenting materials, updates, and instructional observations</li> <li>Coordinate closely with the TPOC throughout the period of performance</li> <li>Support transition activities at the conclusion of the course or task order</li> </ul> <p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p> <p><strong>Experience</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Undergraduate-Level Instruction:</strong></li> <ul> <li>Minimum <strong>10 years</strong> of experience in academic course development and delivery</li> </ul> <li><strong>Graduate-Level Technical Instruction:</strong></li> </ul> <ul> <li>Minimum <strong>20 years</strong> of experience developing and delivering graduate‑level courses, particularly in advanced engineering or defense‑related technical disciplines</li> </ul> <p><strong>Education</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Undergraduate-Level Instruction:</strong> Master of Science (MS) in a relevant technical field</li> <li><strong>Graduate-Level Instruction:</strong> Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in a related discipline</li> </ul> <p><strong>Certifications / Clearance</strong></p> <ul> <li>U.S. Citizenship required</li> <li>Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Common Access Card (CAC)</li> </ul> <p><strong>Other Requirements</strong></p> <ul> <li>Ability to teach in‑residence in Monterey, CA for required periods</li> <li>Strong academic writing, curriculum development, and instructional delivery skills</li> <li>Experience working with military or DoD-affiliated students preferred</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p></p><div class="content-conclusion"><hr> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Diversity creates a healthier atmosphere: MKS2 Technologies is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, protected veteran status, disability status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, marital status, genetic information, or any other characteristic protected by law.</p></div>
