We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support the accounting and financial operations of the firm’s management company and related entities. This role will be responsible for overseeing general ledger activity, month-end close, financial reporting, expense allocations, cash management, and partner-related accounting matters. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in corporate or management company accounting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate across finance, operations, and leadership teams in a fast-paced private markets environment. What You'll Do    <ul> <li>Develop your accounting, managerial, and leadership skills while maintaining the books and records of Petra’s Management Company clients</li> <li>Gain exposure to private equity and credit clients of varying size, investment strategies, and complexity</li> <li>Serve as an extension of Petra’s client’s teams and function as a trusted business partner</li> <li>Deliver high quality accounting and operational support that adds value to Petra and its clients</li> <li>Grow your career as part of a highly collaborative team within Petra</li> <li>Attend and actively participate in client meetings</li> </ul>     Key Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Support multiple clients with all aspects of Management Company Accounting</li> <li>Calculate and record Revenues and Expenses as appropriate</li> <li>Ensure proper allocations and process client payables for third party vendors</li> <li>Record inbound and outbound cash transactions and reconcile bank statements</li> <li>Prepare client financial statements and supporting workbooks at Management Company, Holdings, and GP levels</li> <li>Actively partner with Fund Administration teams, maintaining due to manager records and reporting</li> <li>Prepare Portfolio Company invoices for reimbursement</li> <li>Support annual audit & 1099 processes for clients</li> <li>Prepare closing calendars and client meeting agendas</li> </ul>       What You'll Need:   <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in accounting</li> <li>3-5 years’ experience preferably at an Alternative Asset Management firm</li> <li>Solid understanding of the accounting close cycle and underlying processes including concepts around General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and T&E</li> <li>Proficient in accounting systems; prior experience with Sage Intacct a plus</li> <li>Strong organizational and communication skills</li> <li>Desire to support external clients and ability to work on multiple client engagements concurrently</li> <li>Positive attitude and outgoing personality with a strong team and firm first mentality</li> <li>Desire to learn and progress professionally</li> </ul>       Salary Range At Petra Funds Group, competitive compensation will be commensurate with qualifying factors such as qualifications, experience, and skills.   How We Care  We believe people do their best work when they feel supported — personally and professionally.
