Our team constantly seeks new opportunities, analyzes their risks and rewards, and creates strategies and tools to capitalize on them.</span></p> <p><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">We have an open culture and encourage the flow of knowledge and ideas between all areas of the firm.</span></p></div><div><strong><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">About the Role</span></strong></div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">New York based 200-person trading firm seeks a Trading Operations Engineer to provide technical operations support for US and UK based desks.&nbsp; This individual is part of the firm’s Technology division but sits on the trading desk and is embedded in the technical operations processes of the firm.&nbsp; The task set is roughly split evenly between desk facing activities and light coding tasks often in collaboration with full time development staff.</span></div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:</span></div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">&nbsp; &nbsp; • First point of contact for traders utilizing the firm’s trading systems</span></div> <div><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">&nbsp; &nbsp; • Install, configure and monitor critical trading applications</span></div> <div><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">&nbsp; &nbsp; • Incident management via ticketing system and documentation</span></div> <div><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">&nbsp; &nbsp; • Collaborate with developers for all operational processes supporting trading applications</span></div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Required skills:</span></div> <div><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">&nbsp; &nbsp; • Strong problem solving and multitasking abilities</span></div> <div><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">&nbsp; &nbsp; • Experience with Python, bash and MySQL on Linux is required</span></div> <div><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">&nbsp; &nbsp; • Excellent communication skills</span></div><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><p>Range reflects annual base salary.
