This will include pre- and post-training treatments, rehab programming and facilitation, training coverage, match day stretcher crew, and documentation. The intern will not travel with the team but is expected to be present at all home matches. The student will work closely with professional athletes, carrying out daily athletic training services under the guidance of the Medical Director, Head and Assistant Athletic Trainers. The student is expected to display their current athletic training skills while seeking opportunities to learn new skills. Clinical questions and discussions are encouraged. The intern may have the opportunity to observe the team physician when on site. Professionalism and maturity are always expected while around staff and athletes. The internship will serve toward clinical credit for a CAATE accredited program.   Hours:  The Internship schedule will follow the team schedule which is subject to change at any time. The Intern will be asked to work flexible hours, including weekends and late nights. The intern will have off when the team is off but may be asked to assist with non-travel rehabs and trainings. The student can expect to work an average 30-35 hours per week. Further details will be provided upon release of the schedule.   Dates:   The internship will ideally span the entirety of the NWSL season but understanding that each MSAT program has different clinical rotation requirements, the start and end dates can be flexible. The intern must be enrolled in a CAATE accredited program for the entire internship.     ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES   The following are expected of the intern under the supervision of their preceptor(s):  <ul> <li>Evaluation, assessment, and documentation of injury  </li> <li>Pre- and post-training treatments </li> <li>Rehab programming and facilitation </li> <li>Training and Match Day hydration and medical equipment set up/take down </li> <li>Match Day treatments  </li> <li>Match Day stretcher crew  </li> </ul>   QUALIFICATIONS  <ul> <li>Pursuing a Master of Science Degree in Athletic Training from CAATE accredited college or university. </li> <li>Must be able to receive academic credit towards clinical educational requirement.</li> <li>Affiliation agreement must be executed between University and Seattle Reign FC prior to start. </li> <li>Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills. </li> <li>A team player who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced work environment. </li> <li>Professional demeaner, punctual and reliable. </li> <li>Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. </li> <li>Willingness to pitch in to support team tasks. </li> <li>Ability to work under pressure situations. </li> <li>CPR/BLS certified </li> <li>Complete SafeSport training </li> </ul>   <span data-ccp-parastyle="Default" data-ccp-parastyle-defn="{"ObjectId":"b4201153-de57-47aa-a312-b43e14b2fb35|97","ClassId":1073872969,"Properties":[469775450,"Default",201340122,"2",134233614,"true",469778129,"Default",335572020,"1",469777841,"Times New Roman",469777842,"Times New Roman",469777843,"Times New Roman",469777844,"Times New Roman",469769226,"Times New Roman",335551500,"0",268442635,"24",335559740,"240",201341983,"0",335559739,"0",201342446,"1",201342447,"5",201342448,"1",201342449,"1",201341986,"1"]}">WORK ENVIRONMENT   <ul> <li>This is an in-person position working from Starfire Sports Complex and Lumen Field. </li> <li>Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. </li> <li>Must reside within Washington state upon date of hire.  </li> <li>Must be able to facilitate own local travel.  </li> <li>Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship. </li> <li>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to busy athletic facility areas, outside weather conditions and loud noise levels.
