In addition, Sensei will run the F&B operation, as part of a licensing agreement with Nobu. The Superintendent oversees the golf course maintenance, making necessary recommendations and decisions to make to ensure optimal course conditions prevail year-round. Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Schedule and plan irrigation systems, pesticide applications, related recordings, and compliance with regulatory issues.</li> <li>Work closely with, advise, and coordinate with the Director of Agronomy & Landscape on any issues related to golf course maintenance and landscape operations</li> <li>Provide technical, operational and safety training for employees to ensure that staff is working within OSHA, safety, state and federal guidelines for safe working conditions</li> <li>Train and oversee staff in proper and safe operation and maintenance of mechanical and power equipment</li> <li>Hire, train, supervise and motivate staff</li> <li>Schedule, and monitor daily operations, including work assignments and oversight of project completion</li> <li>Make recommendations regarding agronomic planning</li> <li>Oversee employee relations within the department including performance reviews and corrective actions</li> <li>Maintain purchase order system and efficient invoice processes</li> <li>Accountable for the departmental operating budget, monitor, and control departmental operating budget</li> <li>Maintain daily logs & reports to track agronomic systems data, climate predictions, and chemical and pesticide application</li> <li>Maintain knowledge of all technology platforms and applications required for proper maintenance of facilities and grounds</li> <li>Maintain and monitor execution and follow-through of agreed upon daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly communication meetings and resulting actions items and initiatives</li> <li>Maintain a strong unwavering commitment to ensure employees are well cared for in their daily work and that wellbeing activities and opportunities for growth are provided</li> <li>Any and all related duties as assigned by the Director of Agronomy & Landscape</li> <li>Understand the Sensei mission, philosophy and brand standards and develop a team culture around the core company associated with COVID-19 and how such events have impacted our business, guests, and employees</li> <li>Special projects or other duties as assigned</li> <li>Leadership – Maintain a positive, upbeat guests on property, must assist teams laterally across all departments to lead a seamless guest flow throughout the different resort spaces</li> <li>Other duties as assigned</li> </ul> Requirements: <ul> <li>Experience as a Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent</li> <li>Working knowledge of golf course operations, turf management, fertilizer and chemical application, water management, golf course renovation, irrigation, and drainage</li> <li>Experience In employee management</li> <li>Ability to communicate effectively, lead and motivate a team </li> <li>Extensive knowledge of use and operation of all equipment and tools used in golf course and landscaping construction and maintenance </li> <li>Knowledge and understanding of the game of golf, golf rules and methods of play </li> <li>Strong organizational, computer and leadership skills <span Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent </li> <li>Degree in Agronomics, Turf Management or related field, or equivalent</li> <li>California Department of Pesticide Regulation QAC or QAL or ability
