<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>PRODUCTION MANAGER</strong></span></p>
<p>The primary purpose of this position is to own and champion the day-to-day activities at Laurens for all production activities as it pertains to safety, environmental, GMP, and production. To provide leadership and support to attain critical short- and long-term strategic goals vital to the success of the plant to drive, safety, quality, efficiency, and cost savings. </p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><em><strong>Primary responsibilities include:</strong></em></span></p>
<ul>
<li>Leads and supports Hydrite’s Safety Vision, Mission and Values.</li>
<li>Direct management of all production activities including product manufacturing, packaging, and truck loading/unloading.</li>
<li>Accountable for the safety and quality performance of all production areas under direct management.</li>
<li>Adheres and enforces safety and regulatory policies and procedures through continuous audit and reeducation processes.</li>
<li>Assure departmental compliance with Hydrite SOP’s, Safety, Good Manufacturing Practices, and External Agencies.</li>
<li>Creates, maintains and updates operation procedures, batch records, checklist, job aids and training documents to drive safety, quality and GMP initiatives.</li>
<li>Manage operator training progression through frequent performance evaluations and coaching.</li>
<li>Review daily production schedules, communicate, and align production priorities to meet customer needs.</li>
<li>Continuously evaluates, recommends, and implements continuous improvements to the plant processes to reduce operation cost.</li>
<li>Works closely with plant manager and maintenance to identify process improvements, preventive maintenance, commissioning and startup of new processes and equipment.</li>
<li>Responsible for the completion of action items generated from incidents, audits (internal/external), customer complaints, and MOC within the requested due dates or set by you and your team.</li>
<li>Recommends required labor resources for efficient operation to meet the business objective.</li>
<li>Manage production activities to meet the expectations laid out in the Annual Plant Goals.</li>
<li>Works with the EHS department to ensure that safety and regulatory compliance training is conducted to meet Hydrite and regulatory agency requirements.</li>
<li>Serve on the branch Emergency Response Team.</li>
<li>Guides employee performance and development using daily communication, annual performance evaluations, Safe Behavioral Visits, and Leadership Standard of Work.</li>
<li>Uphold Hydrite’s Standard of Excellence through a continuous commitment to maintain quality facilities and provide quality products and services to internal and external customers</li>
<li>Perform all duties outlined in relevant SOPs and all other duties to be assigned.</li>
<li>Participate in RCRA, regulatory, health & safety and process training activities as required. Review changes/additions with your supervisor. Must be RCRA compliant.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong><u>SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITES</u></strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Support the investigation and corrective action efforts for incidents, non-conformances, and customer complaints. Ensure initial incident reporting is completed by direct reports.</li>
<li>Direct all required emergency customer communications with regards to shutdowns, order delays, order errors within your departments, and any other issues that may affect 100% customer satisfaction with Hydrite.</li>
<li>Support the overall Strategic Plan effort within your departments, including safety, cost reduction, quality, backorders, budget, etc. </li>
<li>Participate in on-site regulatory and customer audits.</li>
<li>Facilitate the introduction of new products and processes into assigned production areas that are managed by your direct reports.</li>
<li>Works with other staff members to maintain workload balances. Provides back-up support as necessary.</li>
<li>Supports effective communication with all Hydrite departments where responsibilities overlap to ensure success of the branch team.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>REPORTING STRUCTURE</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>This position reports to the Plant Manager</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>PREFERRED EXPERIENCE</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>A bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required, natural sciences and/or business focused.</li>
<li><strong>Must be bilingual, fluent in both English and Spanish</strong></li>
<li>Three years’ management experience. Manufacturing experience required; chemical experience preferred.</li>
<li>Must have excellent analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.</li>
<li>Strong computer skills and knowledge of Power Point, Word, and Excel are required.</li>
<li>Previous ERP experience required.</li>
<li>Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to read, write, and speak English.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong><u>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS</u></strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Ability to remain seated for up to two hours at a time, ability to stand for an extended period of time, ability to climb stairs, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.</li>
<li>Must have the ability to pass all pre-employment testing including, but not limited to, background check, MVR, and drug screening.</li>
<li>Able to perform manual dexterity tasks.</li>
<li>Ability to operate a forklift; previous experience preferred.</li>
<li>Must be able to work in an un-cooled warehouse facility where temperatures may reach 100° Fahrenheit.</li>
<li>Occasional turning, twisting, stooping, bending, and reaching.</li>
<li>No exposed jewelry in body piercings when in a GMP production area.</li>
<li>Due to safety concerns, the wearing of contact lenses is prohibited.</li>
<li>Ability to wear a respirator for up to 4 hours a day. Please refer to the SOP for facial hair guidelines.</li>
<li>Ability to wear SCBA and additional personal protective equipment.</li>
</ul>
