About the Role

<p></p> <p data-start="268" data-end="645">We are seeking an experienced and driven Project Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of fire and security installation projects, from contract handover through to completion and transition into service. This is a key role within the business, responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, compliantly, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.</p> <p data-start="647" data-end="1073">With full accountability for programme, cost, quality, and stakeholder coordination, the Project Manager will play a vital role in protecting life and property while delivering a professional, consistent, and customer-focused service. This position offers the opportunity to work on varied and technically complex projects, collaborating with internal teams, clients, and supply chain partners to achieve outstanding outcomes.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p> <p>Responsibilities include but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Manage installation projects from initiation to completion, ensuring delivery in line with contractual, technical, and regulatory requirements.</li> <li>Develop and maintain detailed project programmes, monitoring progress and managing risks, changes, and dependencies.</li> <li>Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to agreed quality standards.</li> <li>Manage project close-out, including documentation, certification, and handover to service teams</li> <li>Take ownership of Health &amp; Safety performance on assigned projects.</li> <li>Ensure all works are planned and executed in accordance with H&amp;S legislation, company policies, and site-specific requirements.</li> <li>Ensure RAMS, permits to work, and compliance documentation are prepared, reviewed, and approved prior to works commencing.</li> <li>Promote a safety-first culture and intervene where unsafe practices are identified.</li> <li>Ensure installation works align with approved designs, specifications, and relevant British Standards (e.g. BS 5839, BS 5266, BS EN 50131).</li> <li>Monitor quality of installation works, testing, and commissioning activities.</li> <li>Manage defects, non-conformances, and remedial actions through to resolution.</li> <li>Ensure system integrity, cause and effect compliance, and certification accuracy.</li> <li>Manage subcontractors, ensuring they are competent, approved, and compliant with company and site requirements.</li> <li>Coordinate internal engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure effective sequencing and resourcing.</li> <li>Monitor subcontractor performance and address issues relating to quality, safety, or delivery.</li> <li>Manage project budgets, costs, variations, and change control.</li> <li>Ensure accurate forecasting and cost tracking throughout the project lifecycle.</li> <li>Support valuation, invoicing, and variation submissions in line with contractual requirements.</li> <li>Minimise commercial risk through proactive project control.</li> <li>Act as the primary point of contact for customers, consultants, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.</li> <li>Provide regular project updates, progress reports, and risk notifications.</li> <li>Manage customer expectations and maintain strong professional relationships.</li> <li>Identify risks, lessons learned, and opportunities for improvement across projects.</li> <li>Support audits, inspections, and accreditation requirements.</li> <li>Ensure accurate project records and reporting are maintained at all times.</li> </ul> <p><strong>&nbsp;</strong><strong>Qualifications and Skills Required:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Proven experience managing fire and/or security installation projects in a regulated, technical environment.</li> <li>Experience delivering multiple projects simultaneously with full accountability for programme, cost, and quality.</li> <li>Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multi-disciplinary teams.</li> <li>Track record of successful project delivery from handover to completion.</li> <li>Strong understanding of fire detection, alarm, security systems and installation practices.</li> <li>Working knowledge of relevant British Standards and regulatory requirements (e.g. BS 5839, BS 5266, BS EN 50131).</li> <li>Understanding of system design intent, commissioning processes, and handover requirements.</li> <li>Experience working within NSI, SSAIB, or ISO-accredited environments.</li> <li>Good working knowledge of Health &amp; Safety legislation and best practice.</li> <li>Experience preparing, reviewing, and managing RAMS and permits to work.</li> <li>Ability to identify risk, manage compliance, and enforce safe systems of work.</li> <li>Experience managing budgets, variations, and cost control.</li> <li>Strong planning and organisational skills.</li> <li>Competence in project management tools and reporting systems.</li> <li>Ability to manage change and resolve issues proactively.</li> <li>Full UK driving licence.</li> <li>Willingness to travel to customer and project sites as required.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Personal Qualities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Prioritises Health &amp;
