We’re seeking an experienced Plumbing Foreman to oversee underground, rough-in, and trim plumbing installations across complex commercial and industrial projects. This position demands mastery of plumbing systems, strategic oversight of field crews, and commitment to safety, quality, and code compliance.</p>
<p><strong> Key Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Training & Development: </strong><br>Train installers on their duties including but not limited to the outline listed below, always looking for the “next man up”.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li><strong>Safety Management: </strong><br>Uphold and promote safety standards across all job sites, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li><strong>Resource Management: </strong><br>Efficiently manage manpower and resources, ensuring optimal use of rental equipment and proper storage of materials.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li><strong>Project Planning: </strong><br>Anticipate future work needs, preparing for upcoming tasks and ensuring all materials and personnel are ready.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li><strong>Reporting: </strong><br>Complete daily reports for builders, documenting progress, challenges, and resource allocation. Reporting daily to immediate general foreman and supervisor.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li><strong>Equipment Care: </strong><br>Ensure proper care and maintenance of tools and equipment to prolong their lifespan and effectiveness.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li><strong>Builder & Employee Relations: </strong><br>Foster strong relationships with builders and team members, promoting open communication and collaboration.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li><strong>Project Health Assessment:</strong><br>Monitor project progress and health, ensuring that specifications and scopes of work are consistently met.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li><strong>Quality Control: </strong><br>Ensure that all work meets quality standards “The Markade Way” and code compliance.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li><strong>Meetings:</strong><br>Participate in job trailer meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and strategies with the team.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li><strong>Change orders</strong></li>
</ul>
<p>Log and fill out proper work authorization forms as new additional work is requested and developed.</p>
<p><strong>Underground Plumbing (Soils)</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Excavate trenches with proper slope for plumbing installation</li>
<li>Cut in appropriate combinations and wyes for main trunk line</li>
<li>Build straight stacks and fixtures: toilets, floor drains, floor sinks</li>
<li>Secure piping with rebar and proper tie-wire techniques</li>
<li>Install hubsets, cleanouts, and stacks to proper elevation</li>
<li>Test systems with water and wrap piping for protection</li>
<li>Measure and verify stack placements and copper lines for trap primers</li>
<li>Install cast iron pipes, septic systems, grease interceptors, sleeves, bull horns</li>
</ul>
<p><strong> Rough-In Plumbing (Topout/Gas)</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Drill and run vent and water systems</li>
<li>Hang pipe, punch studs, and execute proper tie-down procedures</li>
<li>Apply loop hangers, uni-strut clamps, midpoint strapping, and insulation methods</li>
<li>Level floor drains, sinks, and install trap primers and closet flanges</li>
<li>Execute fire caulking, FHA straps, nail plates, pipe-tights, and foam insulation</li>
<li>Install mixing/balancing valves, roof drain harnesses, condensate systems</li>
<li>Operate thread machines (up to 4"), solder copper pipe without leaks</li>
<li>Install water heaters, vents, wall hydrants</li>
</ul>
<p><strong> Trim Plumbing</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Install finish fixtures: faucets, lavs, toilets, urinals, valves</li>
<li>Level and test floor drains and indirect/funnel drains</li>
<li>Complete dishwashers, RO systems, softeners, triple-comp sinks</li>
<li>Execute hookups for ice machines, booster pumps, condensate drains</li>
<li>Install water heaters (tank/tankless), backflows, expansion tanks</li>
<li>Apply fire caulk, silicone, sweat rings, set water temperatures</li>
<li>Comply with ADA and code requirements</li>
</ul>

<p><strong> Physical Requirements</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Lift up to 100 lbs, climb ladders, crawl, kneel, swing sledge hammer</li>
<li>Work in tight spaces and varying weather (30°F – 115°F)</li>
<li>Operate jackhammers and dig with picks/shovels</li>
<li>Move full wheelbarrows, climb stairs with tools, work 8–10 hours/day</li>
</ul>
<p><strong> Additional Requirements</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Submit application, resume, job history, and complete a written/field test</li>
<li>Provide work references, driving record, and consent to drug screening</li>
<li>Possess personal tools and PPE</li>
<li>Legal authorization to work in the U.S.</li>
<li>Reliable transportation and willingness to travel for out-of-town jobs</li>
<li>Ability to read and understand blueprints</li>
