This team is charged with creating modern, resilient services and capabilities to service the US Government for the next decade and beyond.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>We're seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to help take our build and deployment automation to the next level. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will build the development and deployment infrastructure used by our Space Communications team, which provides infrastructure for a wide variety of US Government satellites; you will play a key role in building a cutting-edge communications platform for US government satellites. You will have a role in determining what we build and how we work. You'll work as an individual contributor and a lead for more junior engineers.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>What you will be focusing on:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Working with a team to develop and operate automated build and deployment infrastructure in GitLab CI/CD and Atlantis</li> <li>Developing and operating automated build and deployment infrastructure</li> <li>Writing and maintaining Cloud Infrastructure</li> <li>Owning technical problems end-to-end</li> <li>Maintain multiple Kubernetes clusters in production</li> <li>Packaging software into Helm Charts</li> <li>Writing and maintaining Cloud Infrastructure with Terraform</li> <li>Configure and maintain a federated message bus infrastructure</li> <li>Maintaining CI/CD pipelines&nbsp;</li> <li>Supporting software engineering teams with the use and integration of pipelines and cloud infrastructure</li> <li>Ensuring developed infrastructure and CI/CD solutions seamlessly deploy/integrate with third-party platforms and infrastructures</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>You might be a good fit if you have:</strong></p> <ul> <li>You have 5+ years of progressively responsible software engineering experience in a DevOps role</li> <li>Leveraged a major cloud provider's (AWS, Azure, GCP) services in a production setting</li> <li>A habit of self-directed learning of new technologies</li> <li>Strong experience with either Python or Go</li> <li>Strong experience with Ansible automation</li> <li>You have made enough mistakes and booked enough wins to know what not to build and what good looks like</li> <li>The ability to see through the noise to the most critical problem.</li> <li>The ability to provide technical leadership, guide, and mentor junior engineers</li> <li>Excellent communication skills, working with end-users to design and build solutions to their needs, a habit of self-directed learning of new technologies, and the ability to learn quickly and adapt to a fast-paced environment</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>LOCATION</strong></p> <p>This position is primarily remote, but candidates must be able to work on-site in a secure facility in Northern Colorado Springs, CO as needed to perform classified work.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>COMPENSATION</strong></p> <p>This role is between $160,000 - $185,000 base salary.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>BENEFITS</strong></p> <p>Compensation includes competitive salary, meaningful equity ownership, profit sharing, employer 401(k) contribution, and 100% employer covered medical, dental, and vision insurance for you and your dependents.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>EEO STATEMENT</strong></p><div class="content-conclusion"><div>At Sphinx Defense, we are devoted to building a team that represents a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills.
