UX Designer, Contract at FGS Global

<p><strong>Position&nbsp;Overview</strong></p> <p>FGS Global looking for an experienced UX Designer to provide project support to the firm’s Website team. This is a hands-on role for someone who understands both UX thinking and execution, and who is comfortable moving from research and wireframes into production-ready site structures using Webflow. The UX Designer will partner with creative designers, developers, and account teams to design user-centered experiences for the firm’s clients that are practical, scalable, and aligned with business goals.&nbsp;</p> <p>This engagement may be performed on-site or hybrid from our Washington, D.C., New York City, or Kingston, NY offices, as needed for collaboration.</p> <p><strong>Key&nbsp;Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Design&nbsp;&amp;&nbsp;Prototyping&nbsp;</li> <li>Create&nbsp;wireframes,&nbsp;low-&nbsp;and&nbsp;mid-fidelity&nbsp;prototypes,&nbsp;and&nbsp;UX&nbsp;documentation&nbsp;in&nbsp;Figma</li> <li>Develop&nbsp;sitemaps&nbsp;and&nbsp;page&nbsp;structures&nbsp;as&nbsp;part&nbsp;of&nbsp;a&nbsp;scalable&nbsp;design-to-build&nbsp;workflow</li> </ul> <p>Webflow&nbsp;Execution&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Collaborate&nbsp;closely&nbsp;with&nbsp;developers&nbsp;and&nbsp;directly&nbsp;implement&nbsp;designs&nbsp;in&nbsp;the&nbsp;Webflow&nbsp;platform</li> <li>Ensure&nbsp;UX&nbsp;intent&nbsp;is&nbsp;preserved&nbsp;through&nbsp;build,&nbsp;including&nbsp;layout,&nbsp;interactions,&nbsp;animations,&nbsp;and&nbsp;accessibility&nbsp;best&nbsp;practices</li> </ul> <p>Collaboration&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Work&nbsp;alongside&nbsp;UX/UI&nbsp;designers,&nbsp;developers,&nbsp;and&nbsp;project&nbsp;managers&nbsp;to&nbsp;iterate&nbsp;on&nbsp;solutions,&nbsp;while&nbsp;carefully&nbsp;tracking&nbsp;and&nbsp;incorporating&nbsp;feedback</li> <li>Present&nbsp;design&nbsp;and&nbsp;UX&nbsp;rationale&nbsp;clearly&nbsp;to&nbsp;internal&nbsp;stakeholders&nbsp;and&nbsp;account&nbsp;teams</li> </ul> <p>Design&nbsp;Systems&nbsp;&amp;&nbsp;Assets&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Contribute&nbsp;to&nbsp;and&nbsp;help&nbsp;maintain&nbsp;design&nbsp;systems,&nbsp;component&nbsp;libraries,&nbsp;and&nbsp;UX&nbsp;guidelines</li> <li>Create&nbsp;UX-related&nbsp;assets&nbsp;that&nbsp;support&nbsp;consistent&nbsp;implementation&nbsp;across&nbsp;projects</li> </ul> <p>Iteration&nbsp;&amp;&nbsp;Quality&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Apply&nbsp;feedback&nbsp;from&nbsp;testing,&nbsp;internal&nbsp;reviews,&nbsp;and&nbsp;client&nbsp;input&nbsp;to&nbsp;refine&nbsp;designs</li> <li>Ensure&nbsp;experiences&nbsp;meet&nbsp;usability,&nbsp;accessibility,&nbsp;performance,&nbsp;and&nbsp;motion&nbsp;standards</li> </ul> <p>UX&nbsp;Strategy&nbsp;&amp;&nbsp;Research&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Plan&nbsp;and&nbsp;conduct&nbsp;user&nbsp;research&nbsp;activities&nbsp;such&nbsp;as&nbsp;interviews,&nbsp;usability&nbsp;testing,&nbsp;and&nbsp;content&nbsp;audits</li> <li>Translate&nbsp;research&nbsp;findings&nbsp;into&nbsp;clear&nbsp;UX&nbsp;recommendations,&nbsp;user&nbsp;flows,&nbsp;and&nbsp;information&nbsp;architecture</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>3+&nbsp;years&nbsp;of&nbsp;professional&nbsp;experience&nbsp;as&nbsp;a&nbsp;UX&nbsp;Designer&nbsp;(agency&nbsp;or&nbsp;in-house)</li> <li>Solid&nbsp;understanding&nbsp;of&nbsp;user-centered&nbsp;design&nbsp;principles,&nbsp;accessibility,&nbsp;and&nbsp;responsive&nbsp;design</li> <li>Strong&nbsp;working&nbsp;knowledge&nbsp;of&nbsp;Figma&nbsp;and&nbsp;Adobe&nbsp;Creative&nbsp;Suite</li> <li>Practical&nbsp;experience&nbsp;working&nbsp;with&nbsp;and&nbsp;building&nbsp;in&nbsp;Webflow</li> <li>Hands-on&nbsp;experience&nbsp;using&nbsp;Relume&nbsp;for&nbsp;sitemaps,&nbsp;wireframes,&nbsp;and&nbsp;scalable&nbsp;site&nbsp;structures,&nbsp;is&nbsp;a&nbsp;plus</li> <li>Demonstrated&nbsp;experience&nbsp;leveraging&nbsp;AI&nbsp;tools&nbsp;to&nbsp;enhance&nbsp;design&nbsp;workflow&nbsp;and&nbsp;creativity—including&nbsp;generative&nbsp;AI&nbsp;applications&nbsp;(e.g.,&nbsp;ChatGPT,&nbsp;Gemini),&nbsp;image&nbsp;and&nbsp;video&nbsp;generation&nbsp;platforms&nbsp;(e.g.,&nbsp;Midjourney,&nbsp;Sora),&nbsp;or&nbsp;AI&nbsp;product&nbsp;prototyping&nbsp;tools&nbsp;(e.g.,&nbsp;v0&nbsp;or&nbsp;equivalents)</li> <li>Experience&nbsp;designing&nbsp;and&nbsp;implementing&nbsp;website&nbsp;animations&nbsp;and&nbsp;interactions</li> <li>Basic&nbsp;understanding&nbsp;of&nbsp;front-end&nbsp;concepts&nbsp;(HTML/CSS)&nbsp;as&nbsp;they&nbsp;relate&nbsp;to&nbsp;UX</li> <li>Ability&nbsp;to&nbsp;think&nbsp;strategically&nbsp;while&nbsp;also&nbsp;executing&nbsp;at&nbsp;a&nbsp;detailed&nbsp;level</li> <li>Strong&nbsp;communication&nbsp;skills&nbsp;and&nbsp;comfort&nbsp;working&nbsp;in&nbsp;cross-functional&nbsp;teams</li> <li>A&nbsp;portfolio&nbsp;demonstrating&nbsp;UX&nbsp;thinking,&nbsp;process,&nbsp;and&nbsp;shipped&nbsp;work</li> </ul> <p>This will be a 1099 independent contractor engagement, and the initial term will be for three months, with the option to extend.
