You’ll be contributing to the build of real satellite hardware, supporting one of the most advanced space manufacturing programs in the country.</p> <p>This position is based in our satellite production facility in&nbsp;<strong>Midland, TX</strong>, with full relocation provided (details below).</p> <p><strong>Position Overview</strong></p> <p>AST SpaceMobile is seeking an experienced and hands-on <strong>Facilities Maintenance Supervisor</strong> to support weekend operations at our satellite production facility in Midland, TX. This role is responsible for leading a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring facility reliability, and maintaining a safe, compliant, and fully operational environment.</p> <p>The ideal candidate combines strong technical maintenance expertise with leadership capability, driving preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and operational efficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.</p> <ul> <li><strong>Pay:</strong> <strong>DOE</strong>/hour based on experience, with overtime opportunities. <strong>Higher-level roles</strong> are available for more experienced candidates at increased pay.</li> <li><strong>Schedule:</strong> <strong>Friday, Saturday, Sunday</strong> <strong>6am to 6pm</strong> with <strong>paid lunch and breaks&nbsp;</strong>and overtime availability.</li> <li><strong>Flexibility:</strong> <strong>Night and weekday shifts</strong> with are also available depending on experience and team needs.</li> </ul> <p><strong>What you’ll do:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Supervise and lead a team of Facilities Maintenance Technicians during weekend operations</li> <li>Plan, assign, and prioritize maintenance tasks to ensure timely completion</li> <li>Oversee preventative maintenance programs for building systems, equipment, and infrastructure</li> <li>Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and facility-related issues</li> <li>Ensure all work is performed in compliance with OSHA, safety policies, and company standards</li> <li>Inspect facilities, equipment, and grounds to identify risks, deficiencies, and improvement opportunities</li> <li>Coordinate repairs, projects, and vendor activities as needed</li> <li>Maintain maintenance logs, reports, and documentation for tracking and compliance</li> <li>Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce downtime</li> <li>Ensure tools, equipment, and work areas are properly maintained and organized</li> <li>Provide coaching, training, and performance oversight to team members</li> <li>Respond to urgent maintenance issues and support overtime needs as required</li> </ul> <p><strong>What You Bring:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Must be authorized to work in the United States</li> <li>Minimum <strong>3+ years of facilities maintenance experience</strong></li> <li><strong>1+ year of leadership or supervisory experience preferred</strong></li> <li>Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and building systems</li> <li>Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues</li> <li>Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record</li> <li>Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English</li> <li>High school diploma or GED required (technical training preferred)</li> <li>Strong organizational, time management, and leadership skills</li> <li>Ability to work independently and manage a team in a fast-paced environment</li> </ul> <p><strong>Physical Requirements &amp; Work Environment:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and perform physical tasks for extended periods</li> <li>Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time</li> <li>Ability to use hands and fingers to perform repetitive and precision tasks</li> <li>Ability to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach as required to perform job duties</li> <li>Ability to communicate effectively, including talking and hearing</li> <li>Ability to work in, on, around, and in proximity to large structures, equipment, and tooling</li> <li>Ability to lift, push, and/or carry items up to 40 pounds as required</li> <li>Ability to work near moving mechanical parts and equipment</li> <li>Ability to work in and around tight or confined spaces</li> <li>Ability to Reading,&nbsp;identifying&nbsp;colors of labels or signage</li> <li>Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and perform physical tasks for extended periods</li> <li>Ability to work in environments that may include exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and/or hazardous materials (e.g., carbon fiber)</li> </ul> <p><strong>Benefits: </strong>(Eligibility dependent)</p> <ul> <li>Medical, dental, vision</li> <li>401(k) (pre-tax &amp; Roth)</li> <li>Life insurance, disability coverage</li> <li>HSA, transportation benefits</li> <li>Employee Assistance Program</li> <li>PTO / sick leave</li> </ul> <p><strong>Relocation Support (If You Accept)</strong></p> <ul> <li>Up to <strong>$5,000</strong> in temporary housing (first 3 months)</li> <li><strong>$1,050/month stipend</strong> to support living arrangements after 1st working month on an ongoing basis</li> </ul> <p>If you are open to relocating to Midland, this can be a career changing, and life changing, move into the high-tech aerospace world offering a new skill set and job security in a very similar environment that will soon feel like home.
