If you want to win, build with us.    THE ROLE Interdependence is seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Account Director to join our Healthcare team. The Senior Account Director will play a critical role in developing and executing comprehensive public relations strategies for our healthcare and pharmaceutical clients. This individual will be responsible for managing client relationships, leading account teams, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality PR campaigns.   KEY RESPONSIBILITIES <ul> <li>Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong relationships, understanding their business objectives, and providing strategic counsel.</li> <li>Develop and implement innovative PR strategies that align with clients' business goals, leveraging industry insights and best practices.</li> <li>Lead and mentor account teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment while providing guidance and support to junior staff.</li> <li>Oversee the execution of PR campaigns, ensuring timely delivery of projects, high-quality work, and measurable results.</li> <li>Manage client budgets and resources effectively, including staffing decisions and annual planning.</li> <li>Develop and maintain relationships with key media contacts in the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors.</li> <li>Secure media coverage and manage media inquiries on behalf of clients.</li> <li>Oversee the development of compelling content, including press releases, articles, case studies, and social media posts.</li> <li>Track and analyze campaign performance, providing clients with regular updates and actionable insights.</li> <li>Contribute to new business initiatives, including proposal development, presentations, and pitching to prospective clients.</li> </ul> QUALIFICATIONS <ul> <li>Minimum of 12 years of PR experience, with the majority in an agency setting.</li> <li>At least 7 years in a team leadership role, including budget and staffing responsibilities.</li> <li>Proven experience managing and mentoring teams, conducting annual reviews, and identifying skills gaps.</li> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including AP writing standards and high-level media pitching.</li> <li>Deep understanding of the healthcare/pharmaceutical media landscape, including FDA approvals and regulations.</li> <li>Established media contacts and a track record of securing top-tier media coverage.</li> <li>Strong client service and relationship-building abilities, with the skill to coach and influence the C-suite.</li> <li>Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.</li> <li>Experience in inclusive communication, team workflow management, and reporting.</li> <li>Comfortable working in and contributing to a fully remote team environment.</li> <li>Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degrees or relevant certifications preferred.</li> </ul>     WHY YOU'LL LOVE WORKING AT INTERDEPENDENCE 🏡 100% Remote, Forever - Work from anywhere in the world while you enjoy the flexibility of your fully remote workplace.
