Our Dental Assistants assist in the&nbsp;examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a dentist. &nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Monday - Thursday, 7:30 am - 6:00 pm Work Schedule</strong></p> <p><strong>Includes a $750 Signing Bonus!</strong></p> <p>If you have the ambition and desire to work in a friendly and fun environment, LSCC is the place for you!</p> <p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p> <p><strong>A Day in the Life of a Dental Assistant may look like this:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Greet and prepare dental patients</li> <li>Assist dentists during procedures and maintain instruments and supplies</li> <li>Perform basic and some moderately complex dental procedures</li> <li>Assisting in handing instruments and materials to dentists and keep patients’ mouths dry and clear by using suction or other devices</li> <li>Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment</li> <li>Prepare trays of instruments for dental procedures and instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care</li> <li>Recording patients’ health histories</li> <li>Taking and developing x-rays and preparing dental compounds</li> <li>Taking pouring and trimming dental impressions and seating temporary restorations</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>We ask our Dental Assistants to possess a minimum of:</strong></p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or GED</li> <li>Active Texas Dental Assistant License</li> <li>Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association <em>or</em> American Red Cross</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>The following experience/skills are preferred:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience as a Dental Assistant, minimum of one (1) year</li> <li>Proficiency with EMR system</li> <li>Bilingual English/Spanish language skills are a definite plus</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Key Success Factors</strong></p> <p>Some key factors that will make an individual successful in this role:</p> <ul> <li>The ability to problem solve</li> <li>Organizational skills</li> <li>Attention to detail</li> <li>Team player personality</li> <li>Time management</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Benefits</strong><br><br>LSCC offers a competitive benefits package, including:</p> <ul> <li>Competitive salary;</li> <li>Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance;</li> <li>LSCC paid Life insurance;</li> <li>LSCC paid Short-Term and Long-Term Disability insurance;</li> <li>Paid Time Off; and</li> <li>403b Employee Retirement Plan</li> </ul>
