<p>Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:</p>
<ul>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Assume responsibility for the design release of the Interior Cockpit System including Door Trim components/assemblies and their integration into the vehicle. This includes system sourcing, packaging, drawing release, design validation, sub-system integration, ramp-up, and manufacturing support</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Collaborate closely with the design studio and other engineering teams to develop optimal packages for interior styling</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Work closely with the CAE team to provide design inputs and utilize CAE results to optimize the component design and performance</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Use CAD software, to package components efficiently and robustly, optimizing for cost, weight, and commercial targets</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Apply program management skills to ensure suppliers meet timing, quality, cost, and validation deliverables, serving as the main point of contact for all supplier interfaces</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Ensure that failure avoidance tools and processes (DFMEA/FMA) are applied to all components/assemblies</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Develop and manage the validation plan and test labs ensuring all components and sub-systems meet necessary performance requirements and regulations</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Oversee supplier component DVP and control system level testing to ensure desired performance is achieved</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Analyze test results and identify necessary adjustments to the components/assemblies or interfacing components to achieve the most effective resolution</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Review and approve technical content of related changes throughout the development process</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Act as coach and mentor for the Interior Engineering Group for design expertise and knowledge through educational training and hands-on instructions</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Must have an understanding to translate Voice of the Customer needs into engineering metrics</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>

<li>This role requires 4 days per week in the office, with regular in-person meetings and events. </li>
<li>Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.</li>

<li><span data-contrast="auto">Education/Certifications: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or similar engineering degree from an ABET accredited university.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Years of Experience: Minimum of 10 years of Product Development and leadership experience in automotive industry, experience including 5 years in Interiors</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>

<li><span data-contrast="auto">Strong background in product design, analysis, and development required</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>

<li><span data-contrast="auto">Knowledge of part capability studies, statistical analysis, and FEA required</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Knowledge of CATIA V5/V6, Team Center, MS Office required</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Substantial knowledge in DFMEA/PFMEA, DVP&R, DP's, CAE, & GD&T</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Strong Knowledge of Injection molding, and material properties</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Strong Knowledge of FMVSS Regulations Related to Interiors</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>

<h4>Pay Transparency</h4>
<p>This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.</p>
<p>Initial base salary range = $130,000.00 - $160,000.00</p>
