If you are driven to create a better, more sustainable future, then this is the right place for you.</div></div><p>Lucid Motors is looking for a talented Android Homelink Staff Software Engineer to help <em>build</em> the worlds best Homelink experience in an <em>automotive</em> <em>infotainment</em> system. We are looking for someone who is excited to bring their Android and Homelink experience to our team and contribute to the innovative in-<em>vehicle</em> software deployed on our world class EV’s as well as help develop future models. You will be working alongside a dynamic team of engineers, designers, and visionaries.</p>
<p><strong>The Role:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Design, develop, and maintain Homelink applications to our existing vehicles, Air and Gravity and design and develop the feature for our upcoming Cosmos and Earth vehicles.</li>
<li>Collaborate with our creative UX/UI designers to define, scope, and refine the user-facing features/interactions and transform your ideas into visually captivating and user-friendly interfaces.</li>
<li>Design, implement, and deliver the Homelink software utilizing the underlying platform, <em>frameworks</em>, and SDKs.</li>
<li>Work in conjunction with platform software engineers to analyze and optimize the system to achieve a highly responsive user experience.</li>
<li>Diagnose, analyze, and resolve relevant issues based on testing, and user <em>validation</em>.</li>
<li>Learn the ropes of securing user data and ensuring privacy, all while staying up-to-date with industry best practices.</li>
<li>Dive into debugging and resolve software issues, gaining experience in performance optimization and system stability.</li>
<li>Stay on the cutting edge of <em>Android </em>development trends, applying the latest techniques to your projects.</li>
<li>Join forces with hardware and firmware teams to ensure your code seamlessly integrates with the <em>vehicle</em>'s systems.</li>
<li>Document your journey, sharing your experiences through code comments, system architecture, and user guides.</li>
<li>Stay informed about <em>automotive </em><em>infotainment </em>standards and regulations and contribute to the success of our projects.</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Basic Qualifications:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>8+ years of hands on development experience in Kotlin or Java</li>
<li>5+ years experience developing Android Software for software defined vehicles</li>
<li>5+ years of hands on development experience with Homelink for <em>Android</em> Automotive systems</li>
<li>5+ years of experience designing, testing, maintaining, or launching commercial software products</li>
<li>Familiarity with <em>Android</em>Studio and the <em>Android</em>SDK.</li>
<li>Ability to embrace software design patterns and best practices.</li>
<li>Skilled in <em>test </em>driven development or <em>test </em>automation</li>
<li>Experience with version control systems like Git.</li>
</ul>

<li>BS or MS (preferred) in Computer Engineering or Computer Science </li>

<div><strong>Salary Range</strong>: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.</div>
