This client-facing leadership role requires exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with a strong focus on cost management, financial forecasting, and reporting accuracy. The ideal candidate will have an in-depth understanding of project controls, cost engineering, and financial management principles and will be capable of overseeing and mentoring project-level cost control teams across multiple concurrent projects.  You will play a strategic role in leading cost control efforts across multiple regions, partnering with senior stakeholders, project managers, and technical teams to ensure financial discipline and project cost alignment throughout the full project lifecycle. RESPONSIBILITIES  <ul> <li>Lead and provide oversight of regional/project cost control functions, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance across all project(s). </li> <li>Direct the development and maintenance of robust cost control systems and tools, including project cost reports, forecasts, trend analysis, and change management procedures. </li> <li>Coordinate with regional project managers, engineers, and financial teams to monitor and validate cost data, identify variances, and guide corrective actions to control expenditures. </li> <li>Review and present comprehensive monthly and quarterly cost performance reports to senior leadership, highlighting key financial indicators such as earned value analysis (EVA), cost variances, and trends. </li> <li>Oversee tracking of project performance against budgets and schedules across multiple sites, proactively identifying risks and approving financial strategies for mitigation. </li> <li>Supervise advanced cost analysis and scenario modeling efforts to support executive decision-making and strategic project planning. </li> <li>Manage and approve the preparation and review of regional/project proposals, estimates, and budgets, ensuring accuracy in financial projections and risk assessment. </li> <li>Oversee the management of change orders across all regional projects, ensuring documentation integrity and accurate reflection of budget impacts. </li> <li>Support and advise on contract negotiation and administration with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to align commercial agreements with project cost goals. </li> <li>Review and approve contractor invoices and payment applications to ensure compliance with contractual terms and financial policies. </li> <li>Ensure alignment of all regional cost control activities with internal policies, client standards, and industry best practices. </li> <li>Contribute strategically to business development efforts by supporting commercial positioning, proposal development, and contract negotiation. </li> <li>Mentor, manage, and develop junior cost control personnel within the region, fostering technical growth and career progression. </li> <li>Perform other related duties as required and assigned. </li> </ul> QUALIFICATIONS  Required qualifications:  <ul> <li>10+ years of cost control or cost engineering experience in the construction, infrastructure, or related industries. </li> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or related technical fields. </li> <li>Experience in the development and construction of hyperscale data centers or similar large-scale, mission-critical projects.</li> <li>Extensive experience using cost management software and tools such as SAP and Microsoft Excel. </li> <li>Advanced knowledge of cost management principles, including cost forecasting, variance analysis, change management, and project financial reporting. </li> <li>Demonstrated success in managing large-scale project budgets and resolving complex cost discrepancies. </li> <li>Strong ability to interpret financial data, develop insights, and communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences. </li> <li>Excellent communication and presentation skills with a proven ability to engage with clients and senior management. </li> <li>Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities across different project teams. </li> <li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). </li> </ul> Preferred qualifications:  <ul> <li>Master’s degree in Construction Management, Finance, Engineering Management, or a related field. </li> <li>Experience in hyperscale data center development and construction. </li> <li>Professional certifications such as Certified Cost Professional (CCP) or Project Management Professional (PMP). </li> <li>Expertise in Earned Value Management (EVM) and integrated risk-cost-schedule methodologies. </li> <li>Active membership in PMI, AACE, or similar professional associations. </li> </ul> POSITION DETAILS <ul> <li>Primary Location (On-site): </li> <ul> <li>South Padre Island, Texas</li> <li>Amarillo, Texas</li> </ul> <li>Position: Senior Cost Manager</li> <li>Position Classification: Salary-based full-time hours</li> <li>Current US work permit required.
