About the Role
We’re looking for a Developer Community Engagement Intern to join our team during an exciting phase of growth. In this role, you’ll help run the Wavelabs community and events as the program grows. You'll manage our developer Discord, support developer meetups and hackathons, coordinate event vendors and keep our developer content calendar on track.
You'll report to the Head of Developer Ecosystem, and work with marketing, creative and technical teams, plus partners.
What You’ll Do
Discord community management
Welcome and onboard new members, and keep channels organized and active
Answer first-line questions and route technical questions to the right engineers
Moderate conversations in line with community guidelines
Help run community activities such as polls, challenges and AMAs
Compile weekly community metrics (new members, active users, response times) for the Head of Developer Ecosystem
Content calendar and program support
Keep the developer content calendar up to date across the newsletter, blogs, social posts, webinars and event promotion
Draft social posts, event recaps and newsletter sections for review
Update project trackers and prepare weekly status updates for the Head of Developer Ecosystem
Assist with logistics for partner co-marketing deliverables
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
Currently enrolled in, or recently graduated from, a bachelor's or master's program in marketing, communications, computer science, business or a related field
Active in online communities such as Discord, GitHub or Reddit, with a feel for how developers talk and what they value
Clear, friendly and concise writing
Highly organized, able to juggle several events and deadlines at once
Comfortable with Google Workspace or Notion, Canva and the major social platforms
Genuine interest in AI, cloud computing or developer tools
Proactive and eager to learn, comfortable taking direction and following up with vendors and teammates

May - August (12 weeks)
Tuesday - Friday, 8 hours
