Joining Valar Atomics means becoming part of a company where autonomy, ownership, and impact exist at every level.</p> <p class="s4"><strong><span class="s2">The Role</span></strong><span class="s2"><br></span><span class="s2"><br></span>We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>lead<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>our<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>AP team and the end-to-end payables cycle.<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>You will<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>play an active role in shaping how the function operates<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>as we scale. In the near term the focus will be on building strong foundations —<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>strengthening processes,<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>building strong<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>relationship<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>with our vendors,<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>and driving performance.<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span></p> <p class="s3"><strong><span class="s2">Key Responsibilities</span></strong></p> <div class="s6"> <ul> <li>Oversee end-to-end AP operations, including invoice receipt, coding, 3-way matching, approval routing, vendor communications, and payment disbursement, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across all payment methods</li> <li>Manage the employee expense reimbursement process, ensuring timely processing and compliance with the company's travel and expense policy</li> <li>Review and approve AP transactions and journal entries within delegated authority limits</li> <li>Own vendor master data integrity, including onboarding, ongoing maintenance, and timely resolution of escalated disputes and payment discrepancies</li> <li>Oversee W-9 collection, 1099 preparation, and sales/use tax compliance on applicable purchases</li> <li>Lead the AP contribution to the monthly close process, including accruals, account reconciliations, and financial reporting to the Controller</li> <li>Monitor and report on key AP metrics — including invoice cycle time, on-time payment rate, aging, and processing bottlenecks — identifying trends and escalating risks to management</li> <li>Design and enforce internal controls and segregation of duties, ensuring compliance with company policy, regulatory requirements, and audit standards; support internal and external audit requests as needed</li> <li>Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce errors, and shorten invoice cycle times; support system implementations, upgrades, and integrations related to AP and payment platforms</li> <li>Collaborate cross-functionally with Procurement, Treasury, and Finance to continuously improve procure-to-pay workflows</li> <li>Provide day-to-day guidance and mentorship to AP staff, supporting their development and ensuring consistent adherence to procedures</li> <li>Maintain a “no job too small” mentality, contributing<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>to special projects and cross-functional initiatives as needed<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>within the general scope of the role.</li> </ul> </div> <p class="s3"><strong><span class="s2">Basic<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span></span><span class="s2">Qualifications</span></strong></p> <div class="s6"> <ul> <li>Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.</li> <li>5+ years of<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>accounts payable<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, with 2+ years in a supervisor role<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span></li> <li>Experience with Purchase Orders, 2 and 3-way matching controls</li> <li>strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage vendor and internal stakeholder relationships</li> <li>Strong understanding of AP processes, controls, and GAAP principles</li> <li>Proficiency with major<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>ERP and<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>payable platforms (BILL, Ramp, NetSuite,<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>Oracle, SAP,etc.)</li> <li>Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills</li> </ul> </div> <p class="s4"><strong><span class="s2">Preferred</span><span class="s2"><span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>Skills &amp;
