By taking on operational and financial complexity, we're redefining how DME works for providers, prescribers, and patients. We are proud to offer work that matters, on a mission that matters.   Learn more at SynapseHealth.com and on Synapse Health’s LinkedIn.   What We Need:   The Sr. QA Engineer reports to the Sr. QA Manager and plays a key role in advancing the quality, reliability, and scalability of Synapse Health’s software platform.  This role is ideal for an experienced quality engineering professional with deep expertise in automation and a strong perspective on modern QA practices. You will design and evolve automation frameworks, implement robust automated test suites, and partner closely with Engineering and Product teams to embed quality throughout the software development lifecycle.  Beyond hands-on automation, this role takes a holistic approach to quality. You will help balance prevention and detection, influence testing standards, and shape how quality engineering is practiced across the organization within a fast-moving Agile environment.  What You Will Do:   <ul> <li>Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks and reusable component libraries. </li> <li>Build and maintain automated test suites using cloud-based automation platforms such as Test Sigma. </li> <li>Develop end-to-end integration tests using Playwright or similar modern frameworks (C#, Java, or equivalent). </li> <li>Define and implement automation strategies aligned with product architecture, delivery timelines, and risk profiles. </li> <li>Partner with engineers and product managers to ensure requirements are testable and properly validated from design through release. </li> <li>Create shared testing utilities, libraries, and helper functions that accelerate test development across teams. </li> <li>Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to enable fast and reliable feedback. </li> <li>Monitor test reliability and reduce flakiness to maintain a trustworthy automated test signal. </li> <li>Analyze test results to identify defects, performance issues, coverage gaps, and systemic quality risks. </li> <li>Collaborate with development teams to triage, troubleshoot, and resolve defects efficiently. </li> <li>Conduct risk-based test planning to prioritize testing across critical user journeys and system components. </li> <li>Advocate for modern QA practices including shift-left testing and continuous quality improvement. </li> <li>Communicate test results, quality risks, and technical insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. </li> <li>Adapt quickly to evolving priorities while maintaining a high standard for quality and reliability. </li> </ul> What You Have:    At Synapse Health, we’ve intentionally built a culture rooted in kindness, collaboration, and creativity, qualities we consider essential for every team member. Additional requirements include:  <ul> <li>8+ years of professional software testing experience with strong expertise in automation. </li> <li>Hands-on automation experience using C#, Java, or similar languages and modern frameworks such as Playwright or Cypress. </li> <li>Experience building maintainable automation architectures using patterns such as Page Object Model (POM), data-driven, or hybrid frameworks. </li> <li>Experience integrating automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar). </li> <li>Strong understanding of software testing principles including verification and validation, defect management, and risk-based testing. </li> <li>Experience developing mocks, stubs, or service simulators to enable isolated testing. </li> <li>Familiarity with containerized environments and test execution in platforms such as Docker or Kubernetes. </li> <li>Experience using observability and monitoring tools (Datadog, New Relic, Dynatrace, Azure Monitor, or similar) to support performance analysis and troubleshooting. </li> <li>Proficiency with test management and defect tracking tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, TestRail, or similar. </li> <li>Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical quality issues into clear business insights. </li> <li>Proven ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, product, and operations teams. </li> </ul> What Sets You Apart:   <ul> <li>Deep expertise in modern automation frameworks and the ability to adapt tooling to evolving organizational needs. </li> <li>Strategic thinking about quality engineering beyond individual test cases. </li> <li>A strong quality-first mindset focused on prevention, observability, and early defect detection. </li> <li>Comfort working in fast-moving environments with evolving tools and technologies. </li> <li>Experience in healthcare or other regulated industries. </li> <li>Experience designing and executing performance testing using tools such as JMeter, Gatling, Locust, or Azure Load Testing. </li> <li>Ability to define performance benchmarks, SLAs, and acceptance criteria with engineering and product teams. </li> <li>Experience analyzing load testing results to identify system bottlenecks, latency issues, and scalability limitations. </li> </ul> Compensation:  The base salary range for this position is $110,400 - $124,200 annually. This range reflects the anticipated compensation at the time of posting. Final compensation will be based on factors such as relevant experience, demonstrated skills, internal equity, and prevailing market conditions.
