Job Summary The Draftsperson supports the creation, maintenance, and release of CAD models and engineering drawings for custom parts and assemblies. This entry-level role works closely with engineering, configuration management, document control, and quality teams to ensure accurate documentation throughout the product lifecycle. The position provides hands-on exposure to product design, drafting standards, configuration control, and data management processes within a manufacturing environment. The primary purposes of this role are to: <ol> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Support the timely creation and release of CAD models and drawings to meet project and production schedules.</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Assist in maintaining accurate and current design data to support continuous improvement and cost-effective product realization.</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Contribute to internal data and document management processes that integrate design and manufacturing activities.</li> </ol> Duties and Responsibilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. font-size: 12pt;">Create and update 3D CAD models and 2D drawings for parts and assemblies under the guidance of senior draftspersons, engineers or designers</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Collaborate with design engineering, manufacturing engineering, and other cross-functional teams during product development and engineering change activities</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Communicate effectively with production, quality, inspection, procurement, document control, and change management teams</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Review existing legacy models and drawings and assist in updating them to current standards and configurations</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Apply and learn industry-recognized modeling and drafting practices, including company standards and templates</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Revise parts, assemblies, and fabrication documentation following approved Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Support data management and configuration control activities, including:</li> <ul> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Part and document numbering</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Maintain organized, accurate design documentation to support manufacturing and customer satisfaction</li> </ul> Position Requirements Education and Experience <ul> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field OR equivalent combination of education and internship/co-op experience</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Entry-level candidates encouraged to apply; prior internship, co-op, or academic project experience is a plus</li> </ul> Technical Skills <ul> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;
