As a Floor Technician, you will play an important role in ensuring the community visibly meets or exceeds Buckner quality, service, and hospitality standards. Join our team and inspire happiness in the lives of others!  What you'll do: <ul> <li>Perform day-to-day housekeeping functions of assigned areas in accordance with daily work assignments.</li> <li>Coordinate daily housekeeping services with nursing services when performing routine cleaning assignments in resident living and/or recreational areas.</li> <li>Clean/polish furnishings, fixtures, ledges, room heating/cooling units, etc., in residents’ rooms, recreational areas, etc., daily.</li> <li>Clean and service all aspects of rooms, baths, offices, and common areas, seeking a "like new" effect.</li> <li>Clean floors to include sweeping, dusting, damp/wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, disinfecting, etc., while assuring that appropriate caution/safety signs are properly in place.</li> <li>Dust furniture and equipment; clean windows, window sills, mirrors, and light globes in resident rooms, recreational areas, bathrooms, and entrance/exit ways.</li> <li>Clean, wash, sanitize, and/or polish bathroom fixtures; ensure that watermarks are removed from fixtures. Scour and polish bathtubs, sinks, mirrors, and similar surfaces; replenish soap and towel supplies.</li> <li>Keep utility storage rooms in good order by cleaning lockers and equipment, arranging supplies, and vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors as needed.</li> <li>Vacuum, shampoo, deodorize, and disinfect all carpets.</li> <li>Operate large scrubbers, buffers, and polishers to maintain all hallways.</li> <li>Clean walls and ceilings by washing, wiping, dusting, spot cleaning, disinfecting, deodorizing, etc.</li> <li>Remove dirt, dust, grease, film, and other contaminants from surfaces using appropriate cleaning/disinfecting solutions. Properly mix/dilute housekeeping chemicals and products according to instructions.</li> <li>Clean hallways, stairways, and elevators.</li> <li>Discard waste/trash into proper containers and refill the trash receptacle with a plastic liner.</li> <li>Clean vacant rooms as assigned.</li> <li>Report burned-out light bulbs, exit lights, overhead lights, fluorescent lights, etc., to your supervisor as soon as practical.</li> <li>Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.</li> </ul>  What you’ll bring: <ul> <li>Ability to read, write and understand business documents which are written in English. </li> <li>Ability to communicate verbally with residents, families, visitors and co-workers. Ability to make self clearly understood by others.</li> <li>Ability to understand and follow basic written and oral step-by-step instructions.</li> <li>Basic knowledge of cleaning requirements and cleaning agents.</li> <li>Ability to move cleaning equipment throughout the facility, using up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and /or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or a small amount of force continuously to move objects.</li> <li>Turns, stoops, kneels, crouches, reaches, pushes, pulls, handles, stands, and walks over 75% of the shift.</li> <li>Ability to learn to adjust and operate electric-powered cleaning equipment.
