About the Role

<p><strong>Hospital Support Assistant</strong></p> <p><strong>Fox Creek Veterinary Hospital</strong></p> <p><strong>Job Type: </strong>Temporary / Seasonal</p> <p><strong>Salary: </strong>$15.00 – $16.00 per hour</p> <p><strong>Position Summary</strong></p> <p>At Fox Creek Veterinary Hospital, we are committed to providing exceptional care to every patient and an outstanding experience for every client. The Hospital Support Assistant plays a vital role in supporting our team by helping maintain a clean, safe, and efficient hospital while ensuring pets in our care are comfortable and well looked after.</p> <p>This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about animals, take pride in their work, and enjoy being part of a collaborative, fast-paced team.</p> <p>This is a&nbsp;<strong>temporary, seasonal position</strong>&nbsp;based on hospital needs.</p> <p><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></p> <ul> <li>Provide daily care for pets staying in our hospital and lodge, including feeding, walking, and monitoring comfort and well-being</li> <li>Maintain clean, sanitary, and organized kennels, runs, and lodging areas</li> <li>Clean and maintain grooming bathtubs, grooming areas, floors, and kennels</li> <li>Perform routine cleaning and maintenance throughout the hospital, including laundry, disinfecting surfaces, waste removal, and restocking supplies</li> <li>Sterilize and maintain surgical instruments in accordance with hospital protocols</li> <li>Safely transport patients between departments as needed</li> <li>Assist with yard clean-up and maintaining the exterior appearance of the hospital</li> <li>Support veterinary technicians and doctors with patient handling and non-medical tasks</li> <li>Assist other departments as needed, including reception and grooming</li> <li>Help maintain an organized, efficient flow throughout the hospital</li> <li>Observe and report any changes in patient behavior or condition</li> </ul> <p><strong>What to Expect in This Role</strong></p> <ul> <li>This is a&nbsp;<strong>hands-on, physically active role</strong>&nbsp;with frequent movement throughout your shift</li> <li>Must be able to&nbsp;<strong>lift, carry, and move 50 lbs or more</strong>&nbsp;(animals, equipment, and supplies), with or without assistance</li> <li>You will be&nbsp;<strong>cleaning frequently</strong>&nbsp;and maintaining high standards of sanitation</li> <li>You will be exposed to&nbsp;<strong>animal waste, odors, and cleaning chemicals</strong></li> <li>The environment is&nbsp;<strong>fast-paced, team-driven, and constantly evolving</strong></li> <li>You will work with animals of all sizes, temperaments, and medical needs</li> </ul> <p><strong>What We’re Looking For</strong></p> <ul> <li>A genuine love for animals and a strong sense of compassion</li> <li>Dependability and a strong work ethic</li> <li>Willingness to jump in and help wherever needed</li> <li>Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment</li> <li>Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and organization</li> <li>Interest in veterinary medicine or animal care is a plus, but not required</li> </ul> <p><strong>Physical Requirements</strong></p> <ul> <li>Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods of time</li> <li>Ability to&nbsp;<strong>lift, carry, and move 50 lbs or more</strong>&nbsp;(including animals, equipment, and supplies), with or without assistance</li> <li>Ability to perform repetitive cleaning and physical tasks</li> </ul> <p><strong>Work Environment &amp; Schedule</strong></p> <ul> <li>Veterinary hospital setting with exposure to animals, noise, odors, and cleaning agents</li> <li>Fast-paced environment with varying activity levels</li> <li>Schedule may include evenings, weekends, and holidays</li> <li>Seasonal/temporary position based on hospital demand</li> </ul> <p><strong>Why Fox Creek?</strong></p> <p>At Fox Creek, we believe the heart of every visit starts with our team.
