As an experienced quality professional, you will partner closely with Product Management, Engineering, Technical Support, and fellow Quality professionals to validate customer-facing functionality, identify product risks, and drive quality improvements throughout the software development lifecycle. The ideal candidate combines strong manual testing expertise with growing technical capabilities, a deep understanding of product behavior, and the ability to contribute to test planning, investigation, and continuous quality improvement efforts.   What You'll Do <ul> <li>Collaborate with Product Managers, Software Engineers, and stakeholders throughout Agile development cycles to ensure quality is built into products from planning through release.</li> <li>Review requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to identify quality risks and develop effective test coverage strategies.</li> <li>Create, maintain, and execute test plans, test cases, exploratory tests, and regression suites across cloud, web, firmware, hardware, and integrated platform solutions.</li> <li>Validate product functionality, usability, reliability, APIs, integrations, and customer workflows to ensure a high-quality customer experience.</li> <li>Investigate, document, reproduce, and verify defects through resolution, including analysis of customer-reported issues and collection of diagnostic data.</li> <li>Execute and maintain automated test suites, analyze test results, and collaborate with Software Engineers in Test (SETs) to expand automated test coverage.</li> <li>Perform API testing, database validation, log analysis, and technical troubleshooting to support feature validation and root cause investigation.</li> <li>Utilize automation tools, AI-assisted testing solutions, and modern quality engineering practices to improve testing efficiency, coverage, and effectiveness.</li> <li>Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, retrospectives, and release readiness activities, providing a quality-focused perspective throughout the development lifecycle.</li> <li>Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, mentor junior team members, and share product, testing, and technical knowledge across the organization.</li> </ul>   What You'll Bring <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED required</li> <li>2+ years of software quality assurance, software testing, or related experience in an Agile environment.</li> <li>Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, test design, defect management, risk-based testing, and root cause investigation.</li> <li>Experience creating and executing test plans, test cases, exploratory tests, and regression test suites.</li> <li>Hands-on experience with API testing using tools such as Postman, Swagger, or similar platforms.</li> <li>Working knowledge of SQL and database validation techniques.</li> <li>Experience analyzing application logs and troubleshooting complex software issues.</li> <li>Experience executing, maintaining, or contributing to automated test suites, with a strong understanding of test automation concepts and practices.</li> <li>Familiarity with web applications, cloud platforms, client/server architectures, and hardware-integrated systems.</li> <li>Experience using Jira, TestRail, Azure DevOps or similar agile, quality and defect management tools.</li> <li>Exposure to AI-assisted testing tools and modern quality engineering practices is a plus.</li> <li>Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills, with a passion for delivering high-quality customer experiences.</li> <li>Continuous learning mindset with an interest in expanding technical, automation, and quality engineering capabilities.</li> <li>Ability to work on site at our Liberty Lake, WA headquarters.</li> <li>Perform all other duties as assigned.</li> </ul>   Please note that sponsorship of new applicants for employment authorization, or any other immigration-related support, is not available for this position at this time.   Perks at OpenEye:   <ul> <li data-leveltext="" data-font="Symbol" data-listid="1" data-list-defn-props="{"335552541":1,"335559685":720,"335559991":360,"469769226":"Symbol","469769242":[8226],"469777803":"left","469777804":"","469777815":"hybridMultilevel"}" data-aria-posinset="1" data-aria-level="1">The pay for this opportunity is $22.00 - $28.00 per hour.
