Director of Data Analytics at Focus Financial Partners

<h2><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Position Summary</span></h2> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">The Director of Data Analytics will help lead the FP&amp;A and data analytics strategy for the wealth management business, transforming client, advisor, operational, and financial data into actionable insights that improve growth, advisor productivity, and business performance. This role will partner closely with advisory, investment, operations, technology, compliance, and finance team members to build scalable reporting, strengthen data governance, and advance a more data-driven organization. The Director will help build scalable reporting frameworks for billable client assets and firm-level performance benchmarking.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">This position will be an integral contributor to the company’s FP&amp;A and data analytics.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">This reports to the VP of FP&amp;A and Data Analytics.&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">This role can be located in New York, NY; New Hyde Park, NY; St. Louis, MO</span></p> <h2><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Primary Responsibilities</span></h2> <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Help build and develop a high-performing finance data analytics team responsible for dashboards, KPI reporting, ad hoc analysis, business intelligence, and advanced analytics.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Partner across all business disciplines to improve data quality, establish common definitions, and enable trusted analytics across CRM, portfolio reporting systems and billing systems.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Deliver meaningful reporting across client trends, segmentation, productivity, profitability, and retention metrics.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Navigate the firm's data warehouse capabilities, ensuring clean integration of data to our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and other reporting platforms.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Identify and implement opportunities to use predictive analytics and AI to improve process automation.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Drive adoption of self-service analytics tools, data literacy, and a culture of evidence-based decision-making across the finance organization.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Establish strong standards for governance, date quality, and privacy to support regulatory, risk, and audit requirements.</span><br><br></li> </ul> <h2><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Qualifications</span><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</strong></span></h2> <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Bachelor’s degree in data science, statistics, finance, computer science, or a related quantitative field</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">7 to 10 years of progressive experience in data analytics in a large and complex environment</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Proficiency in SQL, Python/R, and BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar)</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills, with the ability to explain complex analyses to non-technical audiences.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Demonstrated understanding and experience in financial services.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Familiarity with cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, Azure Synapse).</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Familiarity with Workday ERP and Adaptive Planning.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Experience implementing predictive analytics, machine learning, or self-service analytics programs in a regulated environment.</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">#LI-KJ2</span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt;" data-teams="true">This position is an exempt position. The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $160,000-$200,000 base salary compensation range. Actual base pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location where work will be performed, and the applicant’s skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package. Other rewards may include an annual cash bonus and a comprehensive benefits package, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k).
