This is not a role for someone looking for a traditional 40-hour work week. Space Kinetic is building ambitious, first-of-its-kind technology, and that requires urgency, ownership, and a high level of commitment to changing the foundational assumptions for everything we do in space. </div> What You’ll Do:  <ul> <li>We are seeking a CMM Inspector to support inspection of precision-machined aerospace components and ensure compliance with engineering and quality requirements. </li> </ul> Key Responsibilities  <ul> <li>Perform surface plate and dimensional inspection of precision machined aerospace components </li> <li>Inspect incoming and in-process parts to drawings, models, and work order specifications </li> <li>Conduct complex dimensional and visual inspections using standard inspection tools </li> <li>Program, operate, and maintain DCC CMM equipment using PC-DMIS </li> <li>Create, verify, and maintain CMM programs for production and prototype parts </li> <li>Review engineering drawings, GD&T, and specifications to confirm compliance </li> <li>Document and report non-conformances and support root-cause/corrective actions </li> <li>Partner with machinists and engineers to improve quality and reduce defects </li> <li>Support quality system processes, documentation, and continuous improvement efforts </li> <li>Verify certifications, material documentation, and supplier conformance </li> </ul> What It Takes:  <ul> <li>Must have a High School Diploma or accredited equivalent </li> <li>2+ years of quality inspection experience in a machining or manufacturing environment </li> <li>Experience inspecting precision machined components </li> <li>Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings </li> </ul> Preferred Skills & Experience  <ul> <li>Experience with PC-DMIS and DCC CMM programming </li> <li>Strong GD&T and blueprint reading skills (ASME Y14.5) </li> <li>Familiarity with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 quality systems </li> <li>Experience working in an aerospace or prototype machine shop </li> <li>Proficiency with inspection tools: calipers, micrometers, indicators, height gages, thread gages, etc. </li> <li>Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline </li> <li>Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative shop environment </li> <li>Familiar with manual machines</li> <li>Experience with 3 axis CNC's </li> </ul> Additional Requirements  <ul> <li>Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs </li> <li>Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required based on production needs </li> </ul> Where You’ll Be:  <ul> <li data-leveltext="●" data-font="Noto Sans Symbols" data-listid="6" data-list-defn-props="{"335552541":1,"335559685":720,"335559991":360,"469769226":"Noto Sans Symbols","469769242":[8226],"469777803":"left","469777804":"●","469777815":"multilevel"}" data-aria-posinset="1" data-aria-level="1">The position is onsite at our headquarters in El Segundo, CA. </li> </ul> What We Offer:   <ul> <li>Competitive Base Salary + Equity-Based Compensation</li> <li>Highly Competitive PTO and Holiday Calendar</li> <li>Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision Coverage</li> <li>Unique Performance-Based Bonus Structure</li> <li>Health and Wellness Stipend</li> <li>Commuter Benefits</li> </ul> ITAR Requirements:   To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
