About the Role

Penske Media Corporation, a leading global media and information services company, is looking for a talented and results-oriented VP of Business Development, Europe to join our Corporate Business Development team. This role is based in London.  This person will be the primary executive generating multiple revenue streams for PMC brands in Europe with the UK as a key focus for revenue growth and will be tasked with dealmaking across many industries and deal types. Furthermore, this individual will work closely with the Global VP/Head of International + SVP of Business Development and key brand stakeholders to negotiate an array of revenue-generating opportunities from conception through full agreement execution.  As PMC values in-person collaboration and team cohesion, employees work onsite 4 days a week from the PMC London office and 1 day remotely with a focus on maintaining a vibrant and inclusive culture.   Responsibilities:  <ul> <li>Responsible for European revenue generation across initiatives with the UK as a priority</li> <li>Areas of Focus: Strategic Revenue Partnerships, IP/Brand Extension, Branded Hospitality, Content & Product Licensing, Sponsorship Revenue and more</li> <li>Leverage deep relationships to source, negotiate and execute new partnerships and business ventures for PMC</li> <li>Primary duties include prospecting, lead development, negotiating deals, redlining contracts with Legal and partnership management at a senior level</li> <li>Work across internal stakeholder groups for respective PMC Brands (including Executive Management, Sales, Marketing, Editorial) to build support and consensus for new business initiatives, new markets, and licensing opportunities </li> <li>Success metrics will include annual revenue production, developing strategic programs & partnerships for long-term growth, and developing close working relationships with PMC Brand Leaders</li> <li>Support our SXSW London event via sponsorship and partnership opportunities</li> <li>Facilitate PMC brands’ expansion of IP & events to the UK and Europe at large </li> <li>Stay abreast of industry trends and developments to identify new robust opportunities for growth</li> <li>Attend industry events to prospect for new partnerships and biz opportunities </li> <li>Focus on developing large, strategic multi-year revenue programs vs. smaller, one-off opportunities</li> <li>Renegotiate and extend existing content licensing deals and other Biz Dev partnerships when needed </li> </ul>   Requirements:  <ul> <li>At least 10+ years’ biz dev experience with at least 5+ years’ licensing experience at a Media/Entertainment company</li> <li>Deep understanding and comfort with industry revenue models and business terms (e.g., revenue guarantees, royalties, rights & permissions, etc.) </li> <li>Demonstrated track record of leading and negotiating complex deals on pace while managing competing priorities; possesses extraordinary prioritization skills with attention to detail</li> <li>Can tap an established European network of contacts as prospects</li> <li>Extensive experience building and executing innovative, non-advertising partner programs that drive recurring revenue</li> <li>Sophisticated understanding of contract terms and principles and ability to work closely with Legal to close deals</li> <li>Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment </li> <li>An expert communicator with a proactive, extroverted demeanor and a strong sense of urgency</li> <li>Extensive experience in managing and optimizing partnerships through deal execution and beyond</li> <li>20-25% travel required including client meetings, trade shows, PMC offices, etc.</li> </ul>     At PMC, we believe working in a highly collaborative, office-first environment fosters real-time communication, spontaneous idea sharing, and stronger interpersonal relationships that drive innovation and team cohesion.
