The Maintenance Electrician will perform electrical maintenance for all automation/controls, plant production, and processing equipment. You will contribute to and impact the total efficiency and productivity of our facility.</p> <p><strong>Pay rate starts at $36.58&nbsp;</strong></p> <p><strong>Where You'll Work</strong></p> <p>This role will be based out of our 24/7 manufacturing facility in Lawton, MI.</p> <p><strong>What You'll Do:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Install, test, repair, and maintain electrical, instrumentation, and control equipment in a food processing plant</li> <li>Perform PLC programming and troubleshooting</li> <li>Troubleshoot and repair electrical, PLC, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems</li> <li>Perform preventative maintenance and support plant projects</li> </ul> <p><strong>Electrical</strong></p> <ul> <li>Read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams (both construction and schematic)</li> <li>Install conduit, wiring, control panels, control wiring and control centers</li> <li>Install, repair, and service automatic control devices such as sensors, photo-electric equipment, proximity switches, etc.</li> <li>Effectively troubleshoot and repair complex circuitry</li> <li>Perform all phases of preventative maintenance on electrical equipment and controls</li> </ul> <p><strong>Electronic</strong></p> <ul> <li>Read and interpret electronic schematics</li> <li>Troubleshoot and repair electronic circuitry</li> <li>Install, troubleshoot and repair electronic equipment such as ground fault systems and recorders/controllers</li> <li>Program, troubleshoot and repair Programmable Logic Controllers; Understand PLC ladder logic</li> </ul> <p><strong>Who You Are:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Safety focused with a proven ability to safely work on and around complex, highly automated machinery</li> <li>A collaborative team player with strong verbal and written communication skills</li> <li>Skilled in troubleshooting Electrical, PLC, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Motors, Motion Control, and mechanical systems</li> <li>Experience in food manufacturing desired</li> <li>Proactive and able to work independently</li> <li>Able to work all shifts in a 24x 7 operation</li> </ul> <p><strong>What You'll Need:</strong></p> <ul> <li>2+ years of experience in manufacturing (food manufacturing preferred)</li> <li>High school diploma or GED required; trade school can substitute for work experience</li> <li>Experience with electrical, PLC, and electronic systems; troubleshooting and repair skills required</li> <li>Ability to work safely and independently in a 24/7 operation</li> <li>Formal training in electrical, instrumentation, or process control is required</li> <li><em>Applicant must pass our standard testing in maintenance and electrical</em></li> </ul> <p><strong>What You'll Enjoy:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Premium pay for off shifts (2nd, 3rd)</li> <li>Affordable and competitive Healthcare including; <ul> <li>Medical, Dental, &amp; Vision</li> <li>Health &amp; Wellness Incentives</li> </ul> </li> <li>Paid vacation, sick and holidays</li> <li>401K automatic contribution and match</li> <li>Employee Assistance Program</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p><div class="content-conclusion"><p>Welch's is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.&nbsp; We are committed to the prevention of employment discrimination based on race, religion, color, sex, gender identity, national origin, age, marital status, disability and/or military or veteran status, sexual orientation or any other action covered by federal or applicable state/local laws.</p> <p>Welch's offers more than just a job - it's an opportunity to grow, innovate, and make a global impact with a passionate community.</p></div>
