and maintaining Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) training programs and serving as the organization’s committee chair for its automotive high voltage (HV) safety program. This role is critical to ensuring employees, contractors, and visitors are properly trained to work safely in advanced automotive manufacturing, engineering, and vehicle service operations.  Reporting to the Sr. Director, Training Program Ownership   <ul> <li>Own the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of EHS training programs across manufacturing, engineering, and support functions.  </li> <li>Deliver classroom, virtual, and hands-on training for topics including:  </li> <li>High-voltage safety (EV systems, battery packs, power electronics)  </li> <li>Electrical safety and lockout/tagout (LOTO)  </li> <li>PPE, hazard communication, emergency response, and contractor safety  </li> <li>Maintain training documentation, curricula, and attendance records in EHS and HR systems.  </li> <li>Manage competing priorities across multiple projects while ensuring critical milestones and business objectives are achieved. </li> <li>Own enterprise-level project plans, timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communications related to Training and High Voltage EHS initiatives and requirements.  </li> <li>Drive standardization of EHS processes, documentation, training, and reporting across enterprise related to EHS training and High Voltage. </li> </ul> High Voltage & Electrical Safety Expertise   <ul> <li>Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for automotive high voltage and electrical safety requirements and chair the enterprise High Voltage safety committee. </li> <li>Support the development and implementation of:  </li> <li>HV authorization programs  </li> <li>Qualification matrices and refresher training  </li> <li>Safe work procedures for energized and deenergized systems  </li> <li>Partner with Engineering, Production, and Commercial Operations to integrate HV safety requirements into daily operations.  </li> <li>Support the development of thermal response plans and associated training. </li> <li>Coordinate requirements with other organizations as necessary, including parent company, partners, and/or regulators. </li> </ul> Engagement & Compliance   <ul> <li>Be a visible and approachable EHS presence at Scout locations and in work areas.  </li> <li>Conduct risk assessments, task observations, and training effectiveness checks, as necessary.  </li> <li>Support incident investigations and apply lessons learned into updated training content.  </li> <li>Assist with regulatory compliance efforts related to OSHA, NFPA 70E, and applicable electrical safety standards.  </li> <li>Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local EHS regulations and company standards </li> </ul> Cross Functional Collaboration   <ul> <li>Partner with EHS colleagues, Engineering, Production, Commercial Operations, HR, and external training vendors and/or partners. </li> <li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement EHS procedures, practices, and training appropriate for the risks, hazards, and conditions in area of responsibility </li> <li>Support site EHS initiatives, audits, onboarding programs, and EHS campaigns.  </li> <li>Contribute to a strong learning culture that emphasizes practical risk awareness </li> <li>Influence stakeholders at all organizational levels to ensure EHS considerations are incorporated into business planning and execution. </li> <li>Identify risks, barriers, and resource challenges and proactively develop mitigation strategies. </li> </ul> Other duties as assigned by the Sr. Director, Environment, Health & Safety Location & Travel Expectations: <ul> <li>This role will be based out of the Scout Motors corporate headquarters in Charlotte, NC. </li> <li>This role requires 4-5 days per week in the office, with regular in-person meetings and events. </li> <li>Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.</li> Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.
