This position will be onsite in Portage, IN with a off-shift of 3pm-11pm or 11pm-7am.  You will:  <ul> <li>Design and implementation of automation and control systems for metals industry applications</li> <li>Collaborate with engineering and other support teams to ensure successful project completion</li> <li>Responsible for aspects of project budget and schedule requirements</li> <li>Assist in the development and maintenance of standards and best practices</li> <li>Develop overall system and communication architecture for industrial control projects</li> <li>Specify and configure various hardware components such as AC/DC drives, switchgear and industrial control panels</li> <li>Perform functional testing of electrical and control systems</li> <li>Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers</li> <li>Generate functional requirements documentation and test procedures</li> <li>Support the sales team in the development of technical solutions</li> <li>Be an ambassador who embodies our <a class="Hyperlink SCXW243457903 BCX0" href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PNgpHEJiRb0" target="_blank">Core Values</a>, prioritizing the success of E Tech Group, our clients, and the professional development of our associates.  </li> </ul> You have:  <ul> <li>BS Engineering degree or equivalent educational background</li> <li>3+ years of experience with AC or DC motors and drives, PLCs, and HMIs.</li> <li>Industrial Automation experience</li> <li>Working knowledge and experience with PLC, VSD, and SCADA systems</li> <li>Strong software and data communication problem-solving and troubleshooting skills</li> <li>Lead field start-up testing of electrical and programmed control systems, drive setup, installation inspection, operational readiness testing, and site acceptance testing.</li> <li>Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.</li> <li>A DNA comprised of collaboration and teamwork. </li> </ul> You may have:  <ul> <li>Motion control with coordinated drive systems</li> <li>Experience with common metals processes such as hot or cold rolling, extrusion, press braking, stamping, heat treatment, casting, forging, oxygen furnaces, arc or blast furnaces, ladle treatment, galvanizing, pickling, or plating.</li> <li>Process line experience with auxiliaries such as hydraulics, pneumatics, coaters, furnaces, and cooling systems.</li> <li>Experience with Legacy Rockwell, GE, or Siemens PLC Systems.
