Join us to be a trendsetter in the industry and help us redefine what’s possible for our clients, while we help you reach your full potential.</p></div><p><strong>About the Role</strong></p> <p>We are looking for a bright, kind and goal oriented Industrial Engineering Lead to join the Stitch Fix Industrial Engineering Team.&nbsp; In this role you'll be responsible for onsite process improvement and cost savings initiatives within our warehouses.&nbsp; Reporting into the Director of Industrial Engineering, the Industrial Engineering Lead will work closely with other members of the team and cross-functional operational partners in our warehouses located across the country.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Design and implement new technologies, processes, and equipment that will enable our warehouses to support business growth.</li> <li>Manage large cross functional&nbsp; projects from ideation to implementation.</li> <li>Create and update engineering labor standards within our labor management system.</li> <li>Conduct the economic evaluation of ideas and technologies, and write the business cases to justify projects and track results to demonstrate success&nbsp;</li> <li>Design layouts for facilities, equipment, inventory storage, workspaces, and material flows</li> <li>Create the technical specifications that define our equipment and facility standards, and warehouse automation concepts.&nbsp; Write the documents necessary to procure equipment and technical services such as scope of work, performance requirements, and acceptance criteria.</li> <li>Support maintenance with automated equipment downtime resolution.</li> <li>Conduct inventory capacity forecasting and related capital investment planning.</li> <li>Lead the implementation of lean warehousing programs, including methods such as waste elimination, 5S, value analysis, standard work, and material flow systems (pull systems, theory of constraints, etc).</li> </ul> <p><strong>How AI and tools show up in your day-to-day work.</strong></p> <ul> <li>Use AI tools to analyze and summarize data</li> <li>&nbsp;Conduct root cause analysis.&nbsp;</li> <li>Ability to create AI tools to improve personal and team efficiency (Gems, GPTs, etc)</li> <li>Conduct technical research and create internal technical documents.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>About You</strong></p> <p>This is what you’ll need to succeed in this role from day 1.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering</li> <li>5+ years of experience, primarily with implementing automated systems.</li> <li>You are proficient in AutoCad</li> <li>Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills</li> </ul> <p><strong>This position may require the ability to sit for extended periods of time, use a computer or other office equipment, and communicate effectively (verbal and written).&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Travel: 20%</li> </ul> <p><strong>Nice to Have:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Exposure to warehouse fulfillment environments</li> <li>Six sigma certification</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Proficient in Minitab</li> <li>Proficient with Takt LMS and Softeon WMS</li> <li>Experience with discrete-event simulation software (e.g., FlexSim, similar)</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Why you'll love working at Stitch Fix...</strong></h3> <ul> <li>We are a group of bright, kind people who are motivated by challenge. The salary for US-based employees hired into this role will be aligned with the range below, which includes our three geographic areas. A variety of factors are considered when determining someone’s compensation–including a candidate’s professional background, experience, location, and performance. In addition, the position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and other benefits.
