Our Project Finance team is looking for a talented Director of Project Finance to help support the efforts of our fast-growing company. Adapture Renewables is owned by KIRKBI Climate – the Kirk Kristiansen family’s private holding and investment company founded to build a sustainable future for the LEGO^®&nbsp;brand through generations.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong><em>Overview</em></strong></p> <p><em> </em></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>The Director of Project Finance will assume responsibility for a number of primary Project Finance functions, including management and execution of tax equity and debt transactions, reviewing and approving analysis supporting of M&amp;A and development decision-making and managing internal reporting responsibilities.&nbsp; The candidate will be based near our Bay Area home office.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong><em>Core Responsibilities</em></strong></p> <p><em> </em></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Lead the process of structuring, negotiating and closing project financings, including tax equity and debt transactions.</li> <li>Responsible for independently managing execution of diligence components of project finance and M&amp;A transaction processes.</li> <li>Review and approve valuation models and resulting analysis considering the economic merits and risks associated with new project acquisitions and greenfield opportunities.</li> <li>Collaborate with in-house engineers, developers, and accounting professionals to maintain appropriate assumptions for project models.</li> <li>Create and verify accuracy of investment memos, investor presentations and project summaries.</li> <li>Develop and maintain project finance related intelligence (tax law and prevailing tax equity terms, property and sales tax information,).</li> <li>Support the Asset Management team with ongoing operating reports and draw requests.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong><em>Qualifications and Experience</em></strong></p> <p><em> </em></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or related field. Advanced degree a plus.</li> <li>At least 3-5 years of experience in a renewable energy project finance role.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to work with complex financial models in Excel.</li> <li>Experience with tax equity and/or term debt transactions in renewables sector.</li> <li>Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills.</li> <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li> <li>Possesses self-starter qualities with the ability to work independently with minimal direction.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to manage at least one analyst-level direct report</li> <li>Ability to work collaboratively in a team and prioritize several concurrent tasks in a fast-paced environment.
