You will partner closely with the Controller and Finance leadership to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant financial reporting across a multi-entity, fund-accounting environment. This role requires a hands-on leader with strong technical accounting expertise, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to drive process improvements within a mission-driven organization supporting healthcare and senior services.</span></p> <p><strong><u>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES<br></u></strong></p> <p data-start="862" data-end="2973"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">• Lead and manage the full <strong data-start="916" data-end="943">month-end close process</strong>, ensuring all journal entries, accruals, and financial statements are completed accurately and within established timelines.</span><br data-start="1068" data-end="1071"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">• Oversee and review <strong data-start="1092" data-end="1119">general ledger activity</strong>, ensuring proper coding, accuracy, and compliance with GAAP and organizational policies.</span><br data-start="1208" data-end="1211"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">• Perform and review complex <strong data-start="1240" data-end="1267">account reconciliations</strong> (bank, balance sheet, intercompany, and sub-ledger), ensuring discrepancies are identified, researched, and resolved promptly.</span><br data-start="1394" data-end="1397"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">• Manage all aspects of <strong data-start="1421" data-end="1443">payroll accounting</strong>, including reconciliation of payroll reports to the general ledger, tracking of liabilities, and ensuring accuracy of wages, taxes, and benefit allocations.</span><br data-start="1600" data-end="1603"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">• Administer and oversee <strong data-start="1628" data-end="1653" data-is-only-node="">employee garnishments</strong>, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, proper withholding, and accurate reporting.</span><br data-start="1762" data-end="1765"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">• Partner with HR and Payroll teams to ensure alignment between payroll processing and financial reporting, including audits of payroll data and controls.</span><br data-start="1919" data-end="1922"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">• Support <strong data-start="1932" data-end="1951">audit processes</strong> (internal and external), including preparation of schedules, documentation, and responses to auditor inquiries.</span><br data-start="2063" data-end="2066"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">• Ensure compliance with <strong data-start="2091" data-end="2120">fund accounting standards</strong>, grant reporting requirements, and healthcare-related financial regulations.</span><br data-start="2197" data-end="2200"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">• Develop, document, and improve <strong data-start="2233" data-end="2291">accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls</strong> to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.</span><br data-start="2341" data-end="2344"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">• Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings or operational improvements.</span><br data-start="2475" data-end="2478"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance, training, and performance management to build a high-performing team.</span><br data-start="2608" data-end="2611"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">• Collaborate cross-functionally with department leaders to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives.</span><br data-start="2738" data-end="2741"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">• Maintain compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, including nonprofit and healthcare financial reporting standards.</span><br data-start="2873" data-end="2876"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.</span><br data-start="3249" data-end="3252"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.</span><br data-start="3359" data-end="3362"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">• Strong knowledge of GAAP, payroll accounting, and financial reporting.</span><br data-start="3434" data-end="3437"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">• Experience with fund accounting and/or healthcare or nonprofit environments preferred.</span><br data-start="3525" data-end="3528"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;
