<div class="content-intro"><p>At Affirm, we exist for the moments that matter—giving people a clear, predictable way to pay over time, with no hidden fees, no surprises, and no tradeoffs on what matters most.</p></div><p>Affirm is building the next generation of consumer finance, and the Affirm Card sits at the center of that vision—blending debit, pay-over-time, and network-native experiences into a single product.</p> <p>We’re looking for a Senior Director of Product to lead the Affirm Card and Card Platform—owning both the end-user experience, the business outcomes of every card product, and the underlying platform that powers card issuance, authorization, servicing, and partner integrations.</p> <p>This is a pillar-level leadership role responsible for defining strategy, building a high-performing team, and delivering durable business outcomes across one of Affirm’s most strategic product areas.</p> <h3><strong><strong>What you’ll do</strong></strong></h3> <p><strong><strong>Own the Card domain end-to-end</strong></strong></p> <ul> <li>Define and drive the multi-year vision for Affirm Card across consumer experience, growth, and economics, inclusive of new card products that complement the one we have in market today.</li> <li>Lead the US direct to consumer card products (Affirm Cards, and in app virtual cards)&nbsp;</li> <li>Oversee our Card Platform (authorization, ledgering, servicing, controls) which powers the D2C products both domestically and internationally, along with a number of merchant and partner integrations.&nbsp;</li> <li>Translate company strategy into a coherent roadmap spanning multiple teams and systems</li> </ul> <p><strong><strong>Build and scale a high-performing product organization</strong></strong></p> <ul> <li>Manage and develop a team of PMs and PM leaders</li> <li>Establish product standards, operating cadence, and decision frameworks</li> <li>Build a durable org that delivers high-quality outcomes without direct involvement in every decision</li> </ul> <p><strong><strong>Drive business outcomes at scale</strong></strong></p> <ul> <li>Own GMV, engagement, unit economics, and credit outcomes for the Card domain</li> <li>Shape investment strategy, tradeoffs, and resource allocation across multiple product areas</li> <li>Partner with Finance and Credit to optimize profitability and risk</li> </ul> <p><strong><strong>Lead platform strategy and execution</strong></strong></p> <ul> <li>Drive platform capabilities that unlock velocity across Affirm (APIs, controls, servicing systems)</li> <li>Partner deeply with Engineering to make cost vs. value tradeoffs at the system level</li> <li>Ensure the Card Platform scales reliably across use cases, geographies, and partners</li> </ul> <p><strong><strong>Operate as a cross-functional leader</strong></strong></p> <ul> <li>Align senior stakeholders across Engineering, Design, Credit, Legal, Partnerships, and GTM</li> <li>Build strong relationships with external partners (networks, processors, wallet providers)</li> <li>Represent the Card domain in executive forums and company planning cycles</li> </ul> <h3><strong><strong>What we look for</strong></strong></h3> <p><strong><strong>Product leadership at scale</strong></strong></p> <ul> <li>15+ years in product management, with experience leading multi-team product areas or platforms</li> <li>Track record of owning large domains or business lines with meaningful financial impact</li> </ul> <p><strong><strong>Org-building capability</strong></strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience managing managers and building high-performing PM teams</li> <li>Proven ability to create systems, processes, and culture that scale</li> </ul> <p><strong><strong>Strategic and systems thinker</strong></strong></p> <ul> <li>Ability to operate at portfolio-level altitude—connecting product decisions to company strategy</li> <li>Strong judgment across second- and third-order tradeoffs, especially in complex systems</li> </ul> <p><strong><strong>Platform + fintech depth</strong></strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience in payments, cards, fintech, or adjacent infrastructure</li> <li>Comfort working on both consumer-facing products and backend platforms</li> </ul> <p><strong><strong>Execution and influence</strong></strong></p> <ul> <li>Ability to drive alignment across senior stakeholders and functions</li> <li>Strong product instincts paired with rigorous, data-driven decision-making</li> </ul> <h3><strong><strong>Why this role matters</strong></strong></h3> <p><strong>Affirm Card is one of the fastest-growing parts of the business and a key driver of long-term differentiation.
