Candidates interested in long‑term employment with Applied Engineering should be open to future relocation opportunities, though relocation is <strong>not required</strong> for this assignment.</p> <h3><span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong>ESTIMATED PAY RANGE</strong></span></h3> <p>Engineer I: $72,000 - $84,000</p> <p>Engineer II: $80,000 - $92,000</p> <p>Engineer III: $90,000 - $102,000</p> <p>Senior Engineer: $97,000 - $112,000</p> <p>Final compensation is based on experience, skills, and alignment with role expectations. These roles are paid hourly and include paid overtime when applicable.</p> <h4><span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong>JOB SUMMARY</strong></span></h4> <p>As a <strong>Manufacturing Engineer – Power &amp; Transformer Systems </strong>in <strong>Houston, TX</strong>, you will:</p> <ul> <li>Support the transfer of transformer‑related product lines into the Houston facility</li> <li>Assist with installation and commissioning of equipment required for transformer manufacturing</li> <li>Lead or support product validation, testing, and launch readiness activities</li> <li>Ensure documentation, work instructions, and process controls are complete and accurate</li> <li>Troubleshoot transformer‑specific assembly, testing, and production issues</li> <li>Train production teams on new processes, equipment, and product requirements</li> <li>Participate in knowledge‑transfer visits to current production sites and support launch activities</li> <li>Apply lean manufacturing tools to improve efficiency, quality, and throughput</li> <li>Provide post‑launch support to stabilize production and resolve early‑stage issues</li> <li>Work collaboratively with suppliers and Applied partners</li> <li>Contribute to projects that impact communities in Katy, Sugar Land, Pearland, Pasadena, Baytown, Cypress, Spring, The Woodlands, Humble, Missouri City, League City, Deer Park, La Porte, Friendswood, and Channelview, and the greater Houston metro</li> <li>Apply your skills in a dynamic environment that values ownership and innovation</li> </ul> <h1><span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong>QUALIFICATIONS</strong></span></h1> <ul> <li>Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering&nbsp;</li> <li>5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience</li> <li>Prior transformer manufacturing or transformer product experience required</li> <li>Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish required&nbsp;</li> <li>Experience with equipment installation, validation, and troubleshooting</li> <li>Strong lean manufacturing knowledge and hands‑on application</li> <li>Ability to travel to sending facilities for knowledge transfer</li> <li>Experience developing manufacturing documentation and training content</li> <li>Epicor experience preferred</li> </ul> <h2><span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong>SKILLS AND VALUES</strong></span></h2> <ul> <li>Capable of working independently and as a team member</li> <li>Strong work ethic and unwavering integrity</li> <li>Excellent interpersonal skills and a learning mindset</li> <li>Curiosity, problem solving, and analytical thinking</li> <li>Effective verbal and written communication</li> <li>Desire to work on a variety of projects</li> </ul> <h2><span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong>ADDITIONAL INFORMATION</strong></span></h2> <p>Please consider joining Applied's team of talented employees in Houston, TX and the greater Houston metro area.</p> <p>Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
